God is love,and all who live in love, live in God, And God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. We love each other because he loved us first. If someone says," I love God," but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is a liar, for if we don`t love people we can see, how can we love God whom we cannot see? This is the kind of love that changes you. A love you will never understand unless you recieve it from Jesus. I can honestly say that I love everyone, even my enemies. Without God this would not be possible. Give your life to Christ, and his love will reveal itself to you, he will open your eyes to the truth. And I do love you, and care about you.

I've asked some questions about where in the Quran does it promote peace. I still have not seen an answer where the Quran acually PROMOTES peace. What I have seen I could liken to this:

If a Mormon was to kill a Catholic then the Catholic could kill a different Mormon and still be considered a peaceful person.

Is that promoting peace? No! How can it be right that an innocent Christian could be killed by a Muslim in the name of Jihad as promoted by the Quran. How can that be considered peaceful?

I think if we kept our woman in place the world would be better... lets face it... they arnt good for much, men can do twice as much as a woman, better than a woman. I am not sure if you are aware how social programs were corrupted by 'elements', 'social terrorists' to attack fathers, mothers, parents, by using half-truths,(ie truths that are parts of the truth), and social programs dealing with 'spousal abuse' were expolited by 'social terrorists' to attack the family by dividing it , again with half-truths...?

Well this is called a paradoxical effect.

Truth is subjective and depends on our perspective and interpretation. Fact is objective and does not rely on perspective nor interpretation.

Example: I have a friend who has the ugliest couch I have ever seen. It's hideous. It has too many cushions and is uncomfortable to sit on. That is my version of the truth. She however tells everyone about the great deal she got on the most gorgeous couch she has ever seen. She loves all the cushions and that it is easy to clean. That is her truth. Neither of these opinions are fact. The fact is that it is a couch with 6 cushions and it is covered in vinyl.

Our perception and interpretation is the key and the reason for the difference in "truth". Of course this applies to any and all aspects of our lives including religion. A good deal of the time "truth" is nothing more than a glorified opinion. So which is more important to you?

If muslims want others to respect islam this is what they will have to do,

denounce the unholy lifestyle of the prophet

condemn all acts of terror

respect non muslims living in islamic nations, and stop raping non muslim women and converting them by force to islam

stop bragging that islam is the greatest and only true religion

free muslim woman and stop oppresing them

welcome outside means of understanding god as well

Islam was far ahead of Europe in mathematics, astronomy, medicine at the time of the Crusades. Islamic scholars extended the knowledge of Greece and Rome, and inputs from India and elsewhere. That knowledge (including the zero), taken back to Europe by Crusaders etc, was far more significant in shaping the Renaissance, and our powerful, wealthy, modern Western civilisation than Medieval Christianity was. Yet although there are many brilliant individual modern Moslem thinkers, it seems Islamic civilisation stopped developing. Did Islam freeze in Medieval religious fundamentalism, while Europe slowly left it behind, and if so why? Or did something else stop Islamic modernisation?
