I play the guitar and she plays percussion, I want to ask her to back to school dance, but I'm afraid. Are percussion and strings compatible? And how do I approach her? Beat her up hold her down, knife in face, you going? or, go up and forget what I was saying. I'm not a band geek really, just looking to learn more rockstar...

This isn't a bullshit question, except for the constant horoscope question parody, but seriously how do I talk to her? And please no answers that say rape her and if you're big enough you can go get married...(Don't ask, seen that answer before.)

Israel just killed more innocent civilians in this war than all the 9/11 attacks combined... a war over two kidnapped soldiers who had illegally crossed the Lebanese border. but it's ok, I know they are still good people at heart just like the Muslims and the Christians and atheists and the rich aristocrats which run my great country, America... but so many people just BASH me for that... they never understand the duality of the situation... US troops HAVE killed innocent civilians in Iraq and Afganistan, just like Saddam did... just like Osama did... just like Israel did... and that is an totally objective and factual statement.

How can we ever accomplish anything if people think hate is the only way to solve these issues?

Love is the only answer... but nobody wants to hear that, least of all the Christian right wing. They want to kill and kill until there are no "terrorists" left... but WHO is a terrorist anymore?

Hate begets hate.

Sorry but this is in response to posts that we should not have the "right to brainwash our children" but let them grow up to choose themselves. I say letting them learn to read later is about the same wouldn't you say?

Alcoholics Anonymous and the American Medical Association claim that substance abuse or alcohol dependence is a disease. In DSM-IV, "disease" is not mentioned when diagnosing patients with alcohol issues as described in diagnostic criteria.

AA cult members compare their created and appropriately cult modified definition "Alcoholic" to other diseases like diabetes and cancer.

If the problem of substance abuse and dependence is a disease, why does a person that is stopped driving drunk by the police taken to a jail instead of to a hospital. The person arrested informed the police that he was diseased and powerless yet he was still taken to jail.

Is AA's and AMA's definition of a drunk to a disease valid or is this "disease" diagnoses simply given to capitalize monetarily on a human malady? (Institution AA is VERY expensive!)

A wise man once said, "what sets us apart from other lower forms of animals is our ability to change and adapt to our enviornment".

Especially in this category, which is why I categorized it here and not under "Yahoo! Answers".

This view of mine comes from the fact that all I asked was a simple question in this category and NO ONE of almost 30 answers had anything GOOD to say when I was just trying to implement a different point of view, they all just jumped to conclusions. I deleted the question since no one was able to actually THINK for themselves. It was ridiculous and I'd like to see Answers erase the points earned by users who answer a question that was deleted, not just in my case but in everyones'.

I really don't mean to sound racist and i'm not at all....but i was wondering how many middle eastern people are coming over here and taking over American businesses? Every hotel now is mostly run by an arab of some sort and every Subway and Quizno's and now gas stations are being owned and operated by middle eastern people...they take the money that they earn and send it back to India, thus creating currency problems for the USA...my friends and family refuse to go to an arab operated business because they feel they need to support the American owned businesses...I used to think they were racist but now I too feel the same way as they do....I know America is the melting pot of the world but it's like now to go into a gas station or somethin you have to speak a different language...last time I checked the national language of the USA is English....seriously these people are changing our forefather's culture....and it's not just the middle eastern now we have so many illegal mexicans.
