Just can't take it anymore.
And its not for us to judge the one who takes this path.
Trying to kill oneself is a very hard thing to do, and the
body revolts and fights back to the end.
They must be in an awful lot of pain to do this.
Desperation.
No hope.
Nothing,or no one to believe in.

Honestly and seriously. The only time I've ever understood one taking their own life is in the case of 9/11. They jumped out of the window to avoid burning to death. They knew their time had come and it was out of panic and desperation, not cowardliness. Otherwise, life is a true gift and we should be thankful for every breath. NOTHING in life is so horrible, to take your own life and not live to see if things will ( and they will) get better.

Wow, serious question here...
I think on a spontaneous instance, we as a race can accept suicide.
For example: a soldier who falls onto a grenade to save his buddy's life. We can all admire that action.
Firemen/women and the police always place their lives on the line "to protect and to serve."
And I believe we can feel some iota of sympathy for those who's depression have taken them to such depths that suicide, in their minds in that moment, is the only option.

Only if in dying you can save the life of another, or the lives of others.

i think no, because it`s a selfish act, suicide has a ripple effect, think of ur family ur friends, people who may look up 2 u. fair enough ur not here to live for them, but surely ur life is a precious thing, imagine if someone close 2 u comitted suicide, how would u feel. ur life is so precious, u can make something of it, don`t make the world miss out on another wonderfull individual.

No. There is none. It is purely selfish, it leaves everyone behind without any answers, to wonder, WHY. If it was their fault, or if there was anything they could have done. There is always something to look foreward to. Things may not look to good right now, but, you never know what the future holds. You could be cheating yourself out of something, you never know.

there are many justifications for taking your own life. I would hope that people don't do it for small reasons, or situations like depression. But if they had an incurable disease, with nothing but pain to look forward to I would definitely approve of it.

Who needs justification? Not me! I'm taking my own life for a ride and I'm not coming back until I'm good and sweaty.

ones own life ... that suggests to me that we are in control of what we do with it
i have to say yes i feel that in certain circumstances it can be justified ... when people are in so much pain they cannot carry on
i have to say though that i don't feel that anyone who takes their own life , does so without serious problems or problems that seem serious to them at that time
i don't feel it is the big sin that people believe it to be , as many who do so are mentally or physically ill
