The people keep to themselves or only hang out with family?If you had no friends here and had a child and there aren't any kids around? The town really lacked personality too...would you move? If you liked the area but because of the nature of the people and the long drive to anywhere.

With the holidays, not all that far away,......I need to know a couple of things. With folks of the Jewish faith, I know they don't recognize Christmas; but how do they feel about recieving Christmas cards and Christmas presents? I certainly wouldn't want to to insult anyone,.....far from it..

Ok suppose God looks down at Earth and says "WOW there are WAY too many people down there.. I am gonna make some of them sterile..." and those people go to fertility doctors and get stuff done so they can have kids.. do you suppose those people are going to hell?? and condemming their kids as well??

My sister is a british christian and is married to a muslim, they have a young daughter and son and twice now he's shaved their heads without even telling her and then when she gets home from work she goes mad and he doesn't give her an explanation except for "thats what we do in our culture" and completely disrespects how she wants to bring up their children. I've told her next time to kick him in the nads and say "thats what we do in our culture"! why do they do it?

I've watched his weekly program a few times out of sheer curiosity and have not heard a single message that is truly rooted in Christ's teachings. To me he is just a motivational speaker who sprinkles in bible versus the way I use to sprinkle barely relevant quotes into papers when I was in high school. I don't even understand why the "members" have their bibles out during the "service". Probably because they bought the bible in Joel Osteen's gift shop. Between the weak message and the constant barrage of advertisements to buy his book and the dvd of this week's "message", I'm left feeling sorry for those who consider this their way to "Keep Holy the Sabbath".

Please, set me straight if I'm wrong, but only if you have a good argument. I took many theology and philosophy classes in college and am a religious education teacher at my church, so weak arguments aren't going to work on me.
