Not all christians are stupid. I know that sound really bad, but .. I did learn that is the case. There actually are some really smart christians out there. and they are not all self righteous.
I am atheist, and I think thats a good thing I have learnt
EDIT:
Ps I think the wise man learns much from the fool, but the fool learns nothing from the wise. People, wether they be christian or atheist or muslim, if they dont learn anything from Yahoo Q&A, then they are the fool.

Mostly I steer clear -- I really don't want to get caught up in the crossfire. Since I'm not affiliated with any religion, I don't have an opinion either way. What I do notice, is that there a lot of people trying to make others wrong, despite their lack of understanding. But I do think that people's world views change with Yahoo Answers, because there are a lot of different participants with different world views. Even if there is a sharing (whether it be information or disinformation,) most people have an opportunity to learn something that they never knew (it's up to them to confirm the validity of the information.) So, I guess this is what I have learned in the religion & spirituality section: --it resembles a microcosm of world events, sadly.

Not a whole lot. This may sound ironic considering I also answer questions every now and then, but I wouldn't put much weight into anything you learn from random people on Yahoo. The only valuable aspect of this site is to ask factual questions (like: where is there a post office in downtown Chicago) or to poll others' opinions (like: what is your favorite pizza at California Pizza Kitchen). Otherwise, I wouldn't ask tough questions and expect good answers. If you are really interested in learning more about religion and spirituality, find a church or even take a theology class at a local college.

I initially got here right here on yet another account in April or would of 2006 to troll the placement. That replaced into my in basic terms reason for being right here. I in basic terms had to stir the pot somewhat, brew up some difficulty, and characteristic a sprint exciting. Then I met Debra M and and a Muslim person via the call of Poki Poki . They have been so forgiving of something I stated that I as we communicate have been given a case of the guilts and beat a hasty retreat. some months later I decrease back to learn approximately different religions and non secular paths (A). i'm nevertheless right here for that reason, yet I stay specially for the pals I even have made. The fact that some questions are an intentional blow either by disrespectful mockery or hostility mainly directed at Christians & Jews, shows that a subtle spirit of segregation is growing, all falling into line with the other 2,000 prophesies.

There are many people from all sides with firm beliefs. Some are loving, some are overzealous, while others are hateful and hurtful. Basically, this is a small sampling of the world we live in with a little more openness and candidness than we would get in real life.

Being that most of the questioners sound to be young adults, and if that is so, then the state of spirituality among them is dismal. This of course aside from the sophomoric shock questions.
I found a lot of the questions, though, to be sincere and searching, and that is good. And the answerers to be equally helpful.

that when you don't believe in gods and dogma you are perceived to be a "hater".That rational thought is foreign to religious folk and not to argue with them, it's no use . To stay vigilant about the religious folk trying to impose their warped sense of justice and law upon the rest of society.I am so totally baffled that in this 21 st century I still have to fight "creationism" the woman's right to an abortion etc.....

I found that most people are either very uninformed or just plain bigots. I cannot believe the amount of misinformation that goes thru here.
