This kind of jerk thinks he's telling a joke. HOWEVER unless it is a long established joke in the couple's repertoire than it isn't funny at all.
My comeback would be, "This 'ugly girl' is busy dumping your sorry *** and moving on to greener pastures. Parting is sweet. Bye!"
