Christians believe Jesus is their Lord and Savior. Jews believe that Jesus was a man on earth (a prophet), but Jews don't believe he is the messiah. Jews think that the messiah is still to come to earth. Mohammad is the Muslims messiah and Muslims think they're the only true religion. They also think you have to earn your way to Heaven. Muslims study the Quaran. The Jewish Bible is only the Old Testament because they don't believe the messiah has come yet. The Christian Bible includes both the Old Testament and the New Testament because we believe the messiah AKA Jesus Christ has come and we're waiting for the second coming of Jesus. The second coming to Christians will be Revelation in the Bible. It will also be the first coming to Jews, but those comings can't co-exist. Muslims think they're the only righteous people to this earth.

- to restate that - Is it true that a large silent majority of Moslem people do not want to see killing and destruction, but also do not wish to appear "out of step" with the extreme fundamentalists, who might exterminate thier whole family if they show a differing opinion?
I know I need to learn about the Islamic world, but is it true, because that "lock-step" is not unlike typical power-domination principles of other extremist groups - Nazi, fascists, communists, also have a terrifiing domination over the members, not allowing dissent, without risk of being slain.
Is it true in certain Islamic areas?
Thanks!

When do you feel that you are not passive ? That in that moment the world gained something from you being alive ? That somebody other than you is really pleased that you were there ?

There are words left unspoken at the moment - ignoring of feelings. How can I get them to open up to me? I need answers from them - and only them. How do I go about bringing up probably one of the most important talks we'll ever have?

It was titled: Atheist/Christian.

An Atheist mother moves in with a Christian family for 30 days. I only caught the last 5 minutes of it.

I have the episode ready to be recorded on my Tivo but I wanted to know if it was worth it.

Thanks to the asker here for inspiring some interesting answers. So, really, if atheists are already absent from God and don't believe in him, if there was really a hell, they would basically live their lives as normal and still be absent from God?

It might be jumping the gun but after 15 minutes only one Christian person answered that this pleased him. Why in 15 minutes do you think there wasn't 100s of Christians applauding Atheists and Agnostics for loving without having Jesus in their lives?

I get much more traffic on my questions and dozens of responses usually right away.

What is your reaction to this, that after 15 minutes so few, only one as far as I can tell, bothered to applaud us for following the words of their Jesus, love!

Does it beg the question, why - what are they really about? Are they really about love?

I don't mean this to be antagonistic, I would think loving one another would be of the highest virture?

Why are people so critical of the muslim promise of virgins in the afterlife? I think it's very nice of them to look after so many retired nuns.

I was saved in a religion the other day. However while shopping around other religions to see if I got the best deal, I found another one that had an even better afterlife package. Their heaven is much more fancier and has more benefits. I tried telling my current religion about the new deal but they said that they cannot go any better on my afterlife.

Am I stuck with my current religion's afterlife or can I move to the other religion and be saved in it? I want to be sure because I dont want to build my hopes up in this new religion just find out I have to go to the sucky heaven.

Thank you for your help in advance.

christian says that they all will enter the heaven if they believe in Jesus as the savior. my question is....
where is the justice for those who do good and bad deeds?? if this is the truth, that means, I can do any sins as much as I want and when death is coming to me, I will say I believe in JEsus??
Wow,.....How poor for those who are good people :) they have to work very hard and hold their desires from sins. :)

It just a thought :)

For example, if we are 21, we can legally drink, but we are supposed to consume alcohol in designated places (bars, restaurants) or at home, behave appropriately (don't drink and drive, don't give alcohol to minors, etc.). Personally, I don't like porn, so I don't buy it or look at it--I'm not saying it should not be legal, but it has its place--I should have the right to not have it in my face. Do you agree that it is irresponsible to use vulgar language and adult sexual content on a site that is specifically not designated for this? I'm sure there are sites and chat rooms for people who like to talk like this--why do they come here, and then complain about being reported--that their right to "free speech" is being violated? Are they just trying to shock the "innocents," or do they really have something of importance to say?

I know some families who homeschool their kids. These kids are going to be homeschooled even in high school.
If you were homeschooled, did you have troubles adjusting to college and to life in general?

If Heaven has no sorrow, how would you know that you were happy after being there for awhile? Human beings like challenges in life. And we were given free will, Heaven takes that free will away because with out free will you cannot make mistakes. Without mistakes there is no pain. If there are no bad decissions, mistakes, or errors in heaven, it seems life in heaven would get boring after a while. You would no longer know what happiness is, due to sadness is non-existant. So, in theory, can a human being truly remain happy for extended periods of time without knowing sadness or pain? Or does life just end up a day to day existance with what ever you want when ever you want it? Just a thought, don't think much of the theory of hell either.
