For example, if we are 21, we can legally drink, but we are supposed to consume alcohol in designated places (bars, restaurants) or at home, behave appropriately (don't drink and drive, don't give alcohol to minors, etc.). Personally, I don't like porn, so I don't buy it or look at it--I'm not saying it should not be legal, but it has its place--I should have the right to not have it in my face. Do you agree that it is irresponsible to use vulgar language and adult sexual content on a site that is specifically not designated for this? I'm sure there are sites and chat rooms for people who like to talk like this--why do they come here, and then complain about being reported--that their right to "free speech" is being violated? Are they just trying to shock the "innocents," or do they really have something of importance to say?

Get Bent - obviously (from your other questions and answers) you are just the kind of irresponsible PIG I'm talking about.

I see your point, but when you really think about it what you are talking about is censorship. You personally dislike 'bad' language and sexual content, so you want entire portions of the Internet to be censored to fit with your perception of acceptable society.

The problem with this logic is the old slippery slope argument. When you begin censorship there will be a fresh batch of people who consider the censored content to be too racy and they demand even more censorship. Where do you stop this process? The very essence of human nature is that what one person considers normal is completely offensive to another. By the time you finish censoring something so that no one gets offended there is little original content left.

Shocking the innocents is all part of the acceptance and tolerance of free speech. You can not impose limitations on free speech. People must grow up and simply learn how to ignore what they don't like. You must accept and tolerate the differences in all of us. Sound familiar? Just like RACISM. So drop your self-righteous soapbox anti-freespeech RANT. You are making me sick.
