The only catch is that if you read, people will expect you to believe everything in it is real. And if you point out that anything is make believe, they will tell you that you are going to a place where a big evil guy burns you for all eternity.

Do most people really believe that they can explain the Creator - either by categorizing or stating emphatically that the Great Spirit does not exist? Can we not just admit that we can not ever comprehend what is greater than ourselves or at least that we don't know?

What would be the proper path to take when waiting for someones food in the micro? Today @ work, I got into the break room @ the same time as a co-worker did. I let her go first cuz that whole "ladies first" crap. Anyways, she put her food in for 3 min and vanished. The micro beeped, and beeped, and beeped and she was nowhere in sight. I sat there for 4 minutes waitin for her to come and she didnt. Would I have been right if I had taken the food out and set it down on the counter? Cuz I didnt. But I thought about it...

Do you consider human life sacred?
And if so, why?

To propose a (perhaps ridiculous) situation: If you had to choose between the life of your dog whom you've had for 20 years and love dearly, or a person whom you don't like, which would you choose and why? (Let's say they're both drowning and you only have time to save one.)

And I don't think all atheists are immoral idiots. I'm just trying to understand.

I was just sitting here and pondering some of the answers I got to my previous questions and, you're right, I guess I am trying to change people. I guess the fact is, I want to change the world to make it a better place for everyone. But I realize that I cannot change people or their opinions. if god worked miracles and offered real results like alot of diet pills claim to,wouldnt it work for everyone that tried?diet pills claim to help you loose wieght.control the appetite,but we still have unhealthy people,people claim god works maricles,is the way,full of love,yet people still dont beleive,what gives,if it was real wouldnt more people follow?serious answers please,this is a real question.i know some of you will put me in my place,i expect that.especially on here (chuckles)

Is it true that most people are intimidated by a Muslim woman who is articulate, intelligent, educated, pure and who covers her head?

I have noticed that many people on here seem to have serious issues with religion. Possibly because of someone they have run across, although I expect that many of your viewpoints are swayed by the stereotypes you hear and see in the news and on tv. Why is it that muslims are tolerated while christians are not? Just an observation, but muslims claim to worship the same god and have the same roots, so why are they treated as the good guys, and christians as the bad guys? Oh, and don't even start about politics, this is a simple belief and hate question. I have noticed that every side of the spectrum from atheists to roman catholics seem to be dealing out the same amount of hate. If you don't want a religious person judging you, perhaps you should stop judging them?

I have a debate in school on Friday, on the subject of gay marriage. I am anti-gay marriage- both in terms of my own personal views, and for the purposes of the debate.

However, this is supposed to serve as practice in a mock court-of-law setting. I am disappointed in myself, because the only objection I can think of at this moment is my religious convictions. That is the only argument I can muster right now, and of course, that sort of religious argument is not valid to be used in a courtroom setting. Rather, scientific facts, relevant statistics, and primary sources are what is required.

Please share your opinions about this very controversial matter- gay marriage.

Do you think it should be legalized in the U.S? Why or why not? (I am aware that it is legal in a few places already- Vermont, Hawai'i, Massachusetts, and perhaps California)

What would gay marriage do the American family?

Your opinions are welcomed- but facts would be even more effective. Thank you!

Since the general consensus among people thinking homosexulaity is a choice reason that homosexuals were sexually abused as children and then chose to be gay. I'm betting most people that are gay *weren't* sexually abused but hey, I'm science minded so I like to test my hypotheses just to be sure...
