Because Nun means None. LOL. Really I think they take an oath to be married to God or something so that would mean that they can't have sex with humans cause that would be adultery. I was a Catholic at one time but I am not any more.

Catholic bishops and priests do not marry or have sex, just like nuns.
There are a tiny few exceptions to that rule -- some Catholic priests in some rites of the Church can marry, if they are not members of religious orders where celibacy is required.
All nuns are members of religious orders, though (most priests are not), so celibacy is always the rule for them.
Also, there are some Latin-rite Catholic priests who are married, because they were Episcopal priests who had converted to Catholicism after having been married.
If their wives die, they must promise not to remarry.
Pope John Paul II issued a ruling stating that such men could serve the Catholic Church as priests, despite being married.
But these married priests are exceptions to the rule. The overwhelming majority of Catholic priests in the Latin rite are not married.

Bishops and Priests can not marry or have children. They take the same oath of celibacy as Nuns do. It's only Ministers from other Christian denominations that can marry. Catholic Priests and Bishops can't. Other Christian religions don't have Priests or Bishops. They have Pastors and Deacons and Elders. They too are free to marry and have children and even women can hold those positions.

The Bible never said that bishops and priests couldn't marry. The reason they don't in the Catholic church is because they have taken upon themselves to believe in the traditions of men, not what the Bible teaches. Sadly, because of a sexual desire, they go forward with pedophile actions and bring chastisement upon themselves and their church. Nuns take a vow of poverty and say that they are married to Jesus. How sad, to think that Jesus himself chose to be single so he could spend more time in his preaching work about the Kingdom. Today, nuns have no retirement plans to aid them in their old age. The Catholic church should sell a few pieces of artwork off to help them. Many nuns have left to marry, as well as former priests. Good for them.

Celibacy is not a command, nor is it a doctrine. It is a discipline RECOMMENDED for full time ministers of the Church by both Jesus and Paul. Celibacy is all over the bible. It was a practice found among the Essenes, a strict Jewish sect that is believed Joseph and Mary were part of.

Huh? How did you arrive at your information, Lady Pirate?
Celibacy is a way of life for those who choose the Sacrament of Holy Orders over the Sacrament of Matrimony. The Vow of Celibacy applies to men and women, at least in the Catholic Church.
