I believe that the lack of understanding all of the things we are taught all of our lives is the problem. even if you didn't grow up with a particular religion people still hear about the creator and draw conclusions base on false information. Division is one of the main problems. We are taught that we are separate from our creator. If you feel comfortable with treating people equally and loving people comes naturally to you then you will begin to understand that you are one with your creator which is why people have a hard time understanding the Great Spirit. The beauty and HUMILITY of the Great Spirit would never see it's own creation beneath it or inferior to it. Would there really be conflict if we really believed that God is everywhere? How would we talk to each other if we really believed that we were each divine? Would organized religion exist if people stop wanting control and followers found the sense to understand for themselves? The spirit of love and truth would never be something you could not comprehend. An open mind, a humble spirit and prayer or meditation will lead you to understanding. The answers will always be simple yet profound.

Yes we are in agreeance, that because God is greater than man, that what can be known about Him can only be known through what He has revealed about Himself. And Hence God's word. That is why one can not reach "nirvana" or any state, that's man reaching out to God.
Christianity has Jesus Christ dying on a cross- which is God reaching down to man.
That is also why there are things about God that are hard to understand because His ways and purposes are often greater than ours.
We can explain what we know about God based on what he's revealed through the Bible and His Son Jesus Christ.
Hope that helps...

If we can't comprehend a creator, then how do we even know that one exists? Perhaps the reason we can't comprehend a creator is that there is no creator.

Jehovah is the true god and that is his name.
Col 1:15 Rev 3:14 Jesus is his first born son and by means of him all other things in heaven and in earth was created.
That is the only one and that is the only way.

Give up sainthood, renounce wisdom,
And it will be a hundred times better for everyone.
Give up kindness, renounce morality,
and men will rediscover filial piety and love.
Give up ingenuity, renounce profit,
and bandits and theives will disappear.
These three are outward forms alone; they are not sufficient in themselves.
It is more important
To see the simplicity,
To realize one's true nature;
To cast off selfishness
And temper desire.

FAQ: How could a loving God cast people into hell?
"And I have the keys of hell and death, signifies that He alone can save. By "keys" is signified the power of opening and shutting; here the power of opening hell, that man may be brought forth, and of shutting, lest, when he is brought forth, he should enter again. For man is born in evils of all kinds, thus in hell, for evils are hell; he is brought out of it by the Lord, to whom belongs the power of opening it. That by "having the keys of hell and death," is not meant the power of casting into hell, but the power of saving, is because it immediately follows after these words:
Behold, I am alive for ages of ages;
by which is signified that He alone is eternal life (n. 60); and the Lord never casts anyone into hell, but man casts himself. By "keys" is signified the power of opening and shutting, in Revelation also (3:7; 9:1; 20:1; also in Isa. 22:21, 22; in Matt. 16:19; and in Luke 11:52). The power of the Lord is not only over heaven, but also over hell; for hell is kept in order and connection by oppositions against heaven; for which reason, He who rules the one must necessarily rule the other; otherwise man could not be saved; to be saved is to be brought out of hell" (Apocalypse Revealed n. 62).

"Can we not just admit that we can not ever comprehend what is greater than ourselves or at least that we don't know?"
Stated very eloquently and very well. I congratulate you.

Yes. I guess I would call myself an Agnostic, since I believe in God, but I also don't think we can know what God is.

One would have to have all knowledge in order to declare there is no Creator.
