One has had unwavering faith for his entire life, the other had period of severe turmoil and a crisis of faith before returning to his beliefs. Which would be the better priest in your mind? Whose word are most valid?

Many evangelical Christians believe that Israel is a special holy land so that it's different from the rest of the world.

Many also believe a bible verse that says, "When they say 'There is peace, then shall the destruction come'," meaning that peace in Israel would only signify the end of the world.

Could these beliefs work to create a foreign policy that seeks to protect Israel on one hand (god's chosen), but keep it destabilized on the other (ie, maintaining low-level skirmishes to prevent the apocalypese, which is preceded by peace)?

i can understand him wanting us to have faith in Him or to have faith that he has a plan, but why would he want us to believe without evidence that he died for our sins?

For example, the "stereotypical" blonde woman is dumb and will do anything if she is drunk enough. Another stereotype is that Jewish people are cheap, and that all black people have guns and will shoot you. Polish people are dumb, lawyers are heartless, Irish people are drunks, and gay men use "fabulous" in every sentence*.

If these stereotypes are so wrong, how were they determined in the first place?

We've all seen the abbreviations. LOL. ROTFLMAO. PPL. L8TR. I am guilty of using LOL when making quick responses to my wife or co-workers via IM or E-mail when the situation warrants a laugh.

However, I am finding that, more and more, these abbreviations and shortened words are appearing as part of every day written language, even in instances where they are inappropriate.

Do you think that instant / text messaging has had an adverse affect on the way we communicate with each other, and do you think that frequent users of instant / text messaging are falling behind the curve on the proper use of grammar and spelling in the English language?

It can be at the expense of another but just don't name any names and keep it fairly clean. No sex stories please. I'm not interested.

For me:

When I was kid, I was the car with my parents driving through town. This lady (who was probably not all there) was wearing a dress was standing on the sidewalk. All of a sudden, her underwear fell down around her ankles. Instead of just stepping out of them and walking away...she hiked up her dress and pulled her underwear back up...showing the world way more than needed to be seen.

I don't have them- yet, but when I look at my mom, I think, " Wow! She's beautiful!" and she has laugh lines...not much else wrinkled(sorry, Mom!)
