I would say it's about equal, though it's fair to say there are more closeted gay Black men just because homosexuality is less accepted in the Black community.

i think it depends on where you are. there are a lot of gay black men in the south, such as i am. but out in like say, texas, you probably run into more white gay men. now i'm not saying there aren't gay whites in the south, or that there aren't gay blacks in texas, but location does really affect the demographics. you wouldn't expect a lot of whites in an area that is traditionally a black neighborhood-for example, you wouldn't expect a lot of whites in say compton, california or harlem, new york. i know that there are whites in both areas, but you know what i'm getting at...

By nature of the fact that there are more whites than blacks then yes I would say that statisitically there would have to be more white gay men than black gay men.

Afro-Americans demographically constitute about 12% of the American population. With this in mind; if ten percent of the population is gay; then we logically assert that out of the 12% of the Afro-American population that 10% of its race is gay. Thereby giving us the factor that there are less Afro-American gay men; then White American gay males.

more white men are open about being gay, black men that are gay are moe in the closet about it so the population is probably about the same
