when typing i dont understand the need to shorten words...for instance why ne instead of any...it's only one more letter...and i could go on and on about it but you get the picture....WHY? what's the purpose...i find that a lot of times the idea of the question or answer is lost in translation.

Should I go for the sniny glittery jewelry?
Should I grab the shiny gold bar?
Should I opt for the cute guy with the sniny bald head?
Or the mystery shiny prize?

I had read that the name Lucifer, being the representation of the Devil, wasn't actually biblical, but that the name referring to the devil didn't even come around until Dante's "Divine Comedy" and popularized by Milton's "Paradise Lost" and it's from them that the story of Lucifer is casted out from Heaven into Hell. I know the name itself has been around as it's briefly used in Homer's "Oddesy" in reference to the "dawn-bearer" (which could also be intepreted as light-bearer, aka. Lucifer) but what is biblical and what is poetry? Also, is it true that the name Lucifer was changed by St. Jerome to Satan because he felt that the name Lucifer was inappropriately given to the Devil?

god and the bible teach you that you are going to hell and that puts fear into your mind so you don't commit sins so you won't go. So god makes you fearful and using fear to get what you want is terrorism. That makes god a terrorist. haha have fun with this one. : ]

First off, I am in an inter-racial relationship, which to me is not a big deal, I am attracted to the person as a whole not their skin color, but my co-workers all have some sort of problem with it, including my boss and supervisor. They are all very closed-minded and make comments about black people all the time. Like my boss, who knows my situation (my boyfriend is 1/2 black) makes statements like 'I would disown my daughter if she ever came home with a black man' etc, and my supervisor makes comments about how people should stay within their races. They aren't ever rude to him like when he calls they talk to him but it really frustrates me to hear these little comments all day long for the past 2 years. And I know everyone has their opinions but when they know I am with someone of a difference race i don't feel like it should be said right in front of me on a constant basis. I feel like I am going to explode on someone if i don't say something soon but I don't how to say it... help!

Don't try any of that 'they just suggest things' nonsense. If god wanted you to have free will he would have done exactly that, gave you complete freedom to make choices. He wouldn't have created a devil to tempt you or expected you to follow his (god's) laws. That would be flat out cheating.

Typically when an atheist talks to a Christian we get answers like no its just cause or no its in the Bible or no we have faith or no your wrong.

Could I get something of substance to my question is belief in Satan comparable to my son's belief in monsters in his bedroom.

I'd really like something more than "no satan is real"

I'm studying a gitam in kalayni called Kamalaja dala. The translation I have is "Oh ! Lord who has eyes like the petals of the lotus, you blessed Gajendra with the Mercy like an ocean. Oh! Lord of Lakshmi, you destroyed Kesi and Narakasura. Oh! Grantor of boons, you have blessed velapura with your kind presence."

Who is Gajendra? Can you explain or tell me where to look for the story of Kesi and Narakasura? What is velapura? Can you provide a better translation for the gitam?

It is absolutely a fact through numerous studies.
Even Pat Robertson what talking about it with concern on his show, in case you doubt it.
Might it have something to do with the confusion surrounding sex, romantic love, marriage, and the "love of God", love of children, siblings, parents?
