What is it with some of the bloody idiots on here, always preaching about the bible, which, was written by man, not god, get your heads out of your own backsides.

Homosexuality is not wrong, it's simply who or what you are. it has nothing to do with procreation, life is not simply about having kids, there is more to it than that.

We as a people have sex for pleasure because we can, why do you think people masturbate, that has nothing to do with creation, we do it cos we can and to get rid of sexual frustration at times, even monkeys jerk off when they feel like it.

If your gay, your gay, there are people who like sex with animals, but that is their choice, no one elses, and no one else has the right to say tell that person(s) that they are wrong, who says homosexuality is against nature, people didn't just stumble across it, it has been there since man or woman existed.

Why can't people give a relevant answer as to why homosexuality is a good thing, gay people are here for a reason.

God didn't tell me to do anything. He did say clearly in the bible, many times that Homosexual sex is very wrong. I think that I will listen to what God said over what men say. I know people don't like the appeal to God's laws, but if we only appeal to the laws of men, there is no valid reason why anything can be looked at as O.k., even murder and child rape. Men will (and have) justified much worse than that in the past, look at what Hitler and Stalin did, which was far worse than anything like simple murder or child rape. One was doing it for the "purity of the Aryan race" and the other to "clean out the filth" from the communist utopia. The point is that when people make their own rules, eventually everything can and will be justified. Look at history and think about it for a minute. At least God's laws are "set in stone." We all know that God is looking out for us when he tells us how to live, and this is no exception.

For myself as a Christian I cannot give an opinion thats not affected by God's commands. For me Homosexuality is immoral for a couple of reasons. First off it's commanded in the Bible that no man should lay down with another man. Second for all the "naturalists" out there, it's pretty obvious what was intended by the "creation" of the species. Male/Female relationships are apparent across all the animal species with the exception being asexual creatures. Homosexuality is a perversion of nature. Taking God out of the picture(and it can't be done since he created even your wonderful tool of science) it's still obvious it's against the natural order for homosexuality. Homosexuals can't reproduce, and would be able to if it was "natural" for them to be that way or if they were "born" that way. It's a result of some sort of mental distress.

I don't think it's wrong, per se, unless it is (as I have seen it) a very spoiled person trying to attract attention by behaving weirdly, and in that case it is more a reason for ridicule than of hatred.
As homosexuality is not restricted to Homo Sapiens (one species that I know does it are pigeons, and there are _plenty_ others) I don't think it is really UNNATURAL.

But the reason is - the survival of the species is not supported by it. So, ultimately, strict homosexuality is self-destructive.

I also think that people especially are fundamentally bisexual, with homo or hetero more heavily biased in each individual, due to child psychology, prejudice, first crush, etc., etc. And I think every person should try it both ways, just for the sake of education.

The concept of homosexual is valid because it occurs throughout a gamut of gods creations. It is not limited to Homo Sapiens sapiens, but is apparent in many other mammals that clearly didn't make a conscious choice to be homosexual...The percentage of its occurrence in different stratum of life also seems to be constant at 8 to 10%. In monkeys, dogs, elephants, horses and even insects. Just watch some of the educational channels for some interesting documentaries on the subject. If it exists at these different levels of creation than it is valid. It very existence as a practice in normal life is its validity.

I like your question. I'd like to see people give valid arguments as to why it's wrong without quoting the Bible. It will be very hard, but I'm sure you'll get the typical rote responses: "unnatural", "can't make babies", and then of course you will still see Leviticus 18:22 (Bingo! Cape wins first prize!).

My response to why it ISN'T wrong:
Population control. It works like death, although through life. It helps to control the population, and it frees some individuals up for the opportunity to commit themselves wholy to creativity and advancement of the standards of living for humankind. Homosexuals can't procreate, and thus are left with only a few options. They have their entire life to not worry about kids and to spend working for the betterment of the species. It frees up a bit of the species to create and advance for us all. Second, they can take care of kids who don't have homes by taking them in through adoption. There are several natural reasons why homosexuality exists. You just have to look beyond the bigoted surface and the false religious justifications.

FYI - Matt F :
Hilter's acts and the Holocaust were acts that were "justified" by the Holy Bible. Don't be rote. Learn to think for yourself.

Ok with NO Biblical references here...
Anal intercourse is the sine qua non of sex for many gay men.22 Yet human physiology makes it clear that the body was not designed to accommodate this activity. The rectum is significantly different from the vagina with regard to suitability for penetration by a penis. The vagina has natural lubricants and is supported by a network of muscles. It is composed of a mucus membrane with a multi-layer stratified squamous epithelium that allows it to endure friction without damage and to resist the immunological actions caused by semen and sperm. In comparison, the anus is a delicate mechanism of small muscles that comprise an "exit-only" passage. With repeated trauma, friction and stretching, the sphincter loses its tone and its ability to maintain a tight seal. Consequently, anal intercourse leads to leakage of fecal material that can easily become chronic.

The potential for injury is exacerbated by the fact that the intestine has only a single layer of cells separating it from highly vascular tissue, that is, blood. Therefore, any organisms that are introduced into the rectum have a much easier time establishing a foothold for infection than they would in a vagina. The single layer tissue cannot withstand the friction associated with penile penetration, resulting in traumas that expose both participants to blood, organisms in feces, and a mixing of bodily fluids.

They also have a substantially greater risk of suffering from a psychiatric problems than do heterosexuals. There are higher rates of suicide, depression, bulimia, antisocial personality disorder, and substance abuse...

Personally I think the answer from the Bible is a lot less time consuming lol.

I trust you. in simple terms because animals do it, would not make it excellent for people to do. notwithstanding the option is likewise authentic; that you won't be able to say that homosexuality is incorrect, by using the undeniable fact that's something that animals do. yet what you do not look to instruct is the context that this truth became in all likelihood made. when I listen that there are gay animals, that's just about continuously in the context of defensive the homophobic argument that homosexuality isn't 'organic'. human beings ought to no longer be able to argue that homosexuality isn't organic, and when we instruct that that's organic, then say that in simple terms because animals do it would not make it excellent. that's a logical argument for idiotic such issues as Fox information.

Anti-gay Christians think you can remove the sexual from homosexual and still be left with something whole but you can't, similarly you can't remove the sexual from heterosexual...you just end up with neutered doctored things unable to express physical love and affection.

Homosexuals are not deeds they are persons, homosexuality is not an act it's the full and real process of being a homosexual person and it is a wonderful thing.

Christians cannot shame usand they don't really care to be honest... they are just acting up because they are bored with their crap religion... it's more exciting to bait gays!

It is unnatural and while not always detrimental to a person's health it is symptomatic of an underlying mental problem. To brush it aside as "sexual preference" without addressing the real issue is dangerous. The only natural sexual preference is heterosexuality. To argue otherwise is to spit in the face of the trillions of heterosexual acts that lead to our eventual procreation. Each of us is born of male/female unions. Our entire genetic code is geared towards this so for there to be homosexual urges it has to lie in the psychological and not psychical aspect of our being.

A sense of power or being overpowered? A sense of feeling in control or controlled? Wanted? Loved? Joy in doing something nasty and against "the rules"? All these can be powerful urges and lead to unnatural sexual desires. They should be dealt with because other more dangerous manifestations may occur. Abuse, rapes, suicide, self mutilations.

But you aren't going to choose my answer. In your mind you want someone to tell you its ok and those that are against it are closed minded, stupid, Christian bigots. You've failed to see the entire systematic cause and effect of homosexuality. But good luck to you.
