Some say the bible should not be taken literally. My question is, with this being the case, should the ten commandments be taken literally. When it tells us that we should not steal, kill, commit adultery, coveth our neighbors property, and to honor our parents should these things be ignored. Whether you believe in God or not are these things not to be taken literally? Is it okay to steal, kill, commit adultery, lust after your neighbors's possesions and disrespect our parents? When you rebuke the bible did you know you are rebuking the morals set forth in the ten commandments as well?
