look at verse 5

1 timothy 6 =
3If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, 4he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions 5and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.
6But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. 10For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

What's worse; not making a decision and never knowing what might've been, or making the decision and it being a wrong one?

The Creationists hate me for suggesting God Designed mankind to evolve and the Evolutionists hate me for suggesting there is a Creator.

Intelligent Design is supposed to be embraced by both sides, why does neither side want anything to do with it?

Modern science has identified specific mechanisms by which ordered systems having all the appearance of intelligent design can emerge from disordered systems. Four such mechanisms are gravity, electromagnetism, the strong nuclear force and the weak nuclear force. These forces, acting separately or together, cause particles to clump together and take up specific arrangement in space, resulting in ordered systems, both living and non-living. Eventually, life, a self-replicating ordered system, emerged. Later, intelligent life, a living, self-aware ordered system in the form of the human brain packaged in a support system called the human body, appeared.
Chemists have long known that matter possesses an inherent capacity for self-organization and that many non-living physical and chemical systems have the capacity to bring order from chaos. This capacity is known as self-organization. It can be seen in the formation of substances all the way from the simple water molecule to the com

I have been in some heated arguements with people over social and spiritual issues, and I realized recently that it is pointless. People dont change based on arguements do they? Ask youself if you have ever said...you know that person is right and then told them. That takes alot of humility anyway. So then I ask myself, are we arguing because we are convincing ourself they we are correct in our view? What other reason is there?

This quote comes from Sex Pistols singer Johnny Rotten in the last performance they had with him. It stays in my mind as a great question for the spritual/religion crowd. I ask myself.. have I been cheated? Is this life...totally pointless....I could go on..but I wont.

I mean, we observe 9 of the Ten Commandments but most Christians do not observe the Sabbath. We observe some of the other laws, like not having sexual relations with others of the same gender, and not having relations with animals or relatives. There are many others as well that we observe. But why do we pick and choose which ones are most convenient for us? Most Christians eat pork, shellfish, and other forbidden foods and never think twice about it.
Of course the sacrificial regulations were done away with because of Jesus's death. But what about the laws that have nothing to do with sacrifice? What about the Holy days we've replaced with pagan holidays?
So somebody who knows please tell me why we pick which laws we're going to obey, and forget about the ones that don't suit us or our lifestyles? And we DO still obey some laws, or else we'd all run around killing and raping all the time! If it's only because these things are illegal, why should they be if God approves them now?

If you use the bible to fill in the gaps of science, and science to fill in the gaps in the bible, we can all live harmoniously in one great I.D. world.

The debate is over, both sides emerge victorious. Science and Religion embrace as equals.

How can anyone have a problem with that?
