I knew a 3 year old that drowned, and didn't breath for 8 minutes. After several hours in intensive car,( and a lot of prayer), he started showing signs of improvements. By 8 am the next morning the nurses were begging to send him home. He was a hyper boy. When he got home the first thing he did was pick up a picture of his grandpa, a Baptist preacher who had died 8 years before he was born, and hugged it. He had never before showed any interest in the picture. Did he get to see his grandpa in heaven?

Yes... I have. I was hit by a drunk driver. I was dragged three hundred feet under a truck going 45 mph. I had numerous injuries... I was clinically dead and in a coma for 22 days. I spent three years in recovery. And yes I had an out of body experience that no one can refute. I am a eyewitness.
There are others. Go to any emergency room at any hospital and talk to the doctors who see death daily. Ask them what they think about this issue. You will get some pretty interesting comments.
