Yes. Josh McDowell is an excellent defender of the Christian faith. He started out as an atheistic (or agnostic) university professor, and had set out to prove to himself, and everyone else that Christianity was false. He ended up being converted, and wrote another book called "Evidence that Demands a Verdict." (Which has recently been updated.)
