I have something that is offending me, though it really has nothing to do with me personally. My s-i-l got married to a man who is divorced. My sil has a rather derogattory nickname for his ex-wife and was referring to her by that name, long before she'd even met the woman. My mother in law has never met her either, and uses the same nickname. My sister in law's husband is a former pastor, has several children with his ex wife and he allows them to refer to his ex wife in this way. I don't know the ex wife, either, but I still find it extremely offensive the way 2 "Christian" women talk about someone they've never met. Please tell me how to Biblically show them this is wrong.

According to the bible and torah Josua who took over for the israelites after moses died led a conquest of the land of canaan in the name of god where he commited genocide against these innocent people killing man, women,and child with no mercy. Also god allowed the soldiers to rape the women they choose. By todays standards most would agree this was an evil act...these were not people like the egyptians who may have warranted punishment....God also permits slavery in the bible...how is this a god that is always good and fair?

When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. I've sought out French or Québecois films, yet none seem to come with French subtitles only English or Spanish. I want to French audio and the French subtitles to help me learn the language better.

i do. dont get me wrong im a happy person and all. sometimes i just wish the Lord would come so we can hurry up and get to heaven. i think about getting to heaven and meeting Jesus and being able to see my family that has gone before me. that day cant come soon enough for me. i just think being in heaven would be so awesome!
