Probably the same way non-believers feel when Christians tell them they're going to hell.

I always find it interesting because they are showing a great deal of ignorance by sayign such things. They do not know who I am or how much education I have. Irrational is calling someone a certain name or title without information to back up the claim. Insane is not being able to take obious evidence and put it together into a sensible final product or conclusion. Just by that statement, I believe that the Atheists are the ones that are showing just how irrational and insane they are. Irrational for not haveing concrete evidence to back their claims and insane for ignoring obvious evidence that does not support their claim in any way.

How do I feel? Entertained by the irony of the very accusation that they are making. They resort to name calling and cut downs because they cannot successfully build and argument and maintain and intelligent discussion. That, my friend, is irrational and insane. They may not be, but at least the claim that they are making definately is.

Ok, I'm just stepping in here to offer a rational opinion. It pains me that there are so many people in the world that feel the need to be judgemental. We're all going through life in our own way, and nobody really knows for sure if there is/isn't a God, it is just a belief that we hold. Beliefs are good, necessary...you should always be true to yourself and understand why you believe the things you do. You should also understand that there are those in the world who have had radically different life experiences then yourself, and this causes them to hold a set of beliefs that may differ from yours. This is not a reason to judge or ridicule them, since there is no universal "right", only your own personal right. In that vein, I am sad that there are atheists that will call people rational or insane for their beliefs, or on the flip side, believers that feel they must educate athiests on why they are wrong. Nobody is wrong or right, it is a personal thing. The world would be a better place if we learned to accept, or at least be more tolerant of those beliefs and ideals that differ from our own.

Believers in what? I believe in a conscious energy that makes up all life.I haven't had anyone tell me that I am irrational or insane. Only people telling me I am going to hell for not believing in their version of the truth. That would not include atheist.

I usually don't call religious believers 'irrational or insane' (unless they really ARE insane and are saying that certain types of people should be killed because god says so). I usually call their belief system irrational and insane.

Hate the nonsensical religion, love the poor brainwashed human.

I'd rather have the scrutiny of athiests
than the mutiny of bewitched christians.

Even devils "believe" there is one God, theirs: Law.

It's not believe-ing that makes you free,
but rather know-ing truth makes you "free",
and free of believe-ing many sadistic lies of
false Christs, false apostles, false prophets,
false teachers and preachers among you.

It's preposterous order to teach first, learn after.

Scriptures were written aforetime for our "learning": Rom 15. "Go ye and LEARN what meaneth I will have mercy, and not sacrifice"; which is the will of God in both OT and NT (Ps 40:6; Ps 51:16; Hos 6:6; Mt 9:13; Mt 12:7; Heb 10:all. And the "not" part is not then, not now, not ever. For God never desired nor took pleasure in any sacrifice for sin, which is by the law and of the law. And receiving the promise notably comes after doing the will of God. Heb 11: these all died and received NOT the promise.

The "grace" of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

I don't think that you are insane or irrational. If atheists are calling you that then they are just being petty. Just because I don't believe in God doesn't mean that I'm right.

I am a believer and put no weight in what an atheist states. I feel their opinion is already way beyond biased and are missing out on the joy of knowing God. Ergo, I don't really care what they say, I just smile and feel wonderful knowing I have the glory of God in my heart and pity them for not knowing the same warm, good feeling I have. I also have faith that God will penetrate their wall and they will know Him eventually. God is hard to deny if he really wants to let you know he is there. Any human, atheist or not, will see Him if He so deems it necessary. I guess my faith covers all persons in this world. Good luck!!

Felix I believe it was, told the Apostle Paul he was gone mad (crazy) in his beliefs. I imagine many said the same about the Apostles and even Jesus.

So while it isn't a pleasant experience to be called irrational or insane..., I am in good company. If they did these things to Jesus, to the Apostles and early disciples - we are guaranteed the same treatment even now.

There is some comfort in that.

I feel the same way about them most of the time. There is plenty of evidence to prove THEM wrong. They are just too closed off to believe it. Try reading The Case For A Creator or A Case For Christ. By the way, evolution is not a proven fact. It is a theory. That is why they are always looking for the "missing link". It just doesn't fit in with their ideals to believe in a creator.

It does not bother me, I have faith and they could never take my salvation away.

And the feeling is mutual, I think they are irrational and insane in not believing anything.
