Over all I believe most here are very smart. However, I'm the best and brightest and best looking. Excuse me, I have to go look at myself in the mirror.

Is it mandatory that when `Wali' i.e. the legal guardian of the girl is present at the time of Nikah and give his consent for the marriage, only then the marriage could be valid?
Suppose the girl is a new converted muslim but her parents are non-muslim and not agreeing to her marriage with a muslim boy, how the Nikah would be possible? The girl and boy love each other and want to marry under Islamic Shara'iah only.

I mean, think about it. Revelation says that there are architectural structures there and that is a form of technology, so why can't there be some type of half-spiritual and half-physical electronics or engineering methods, etc?

Why do people feel the need to quote the Bible when they want to prove a point? Why can't they just simply come right out and say,"*I* feel..."?

So why do you hate goats? You would not believe the amount of goat hate mail or comments I have received. Are people really this bored or hateful? Or are they just jealous that this goat is cuter than them? LOL

When I plan to go party or have fun with friends, and I look up and see a full moon, I always get this weird feeling like something is going to go wrong. And When it is a full moon nothing goes the way it should but reverses and causes too much trouble. Whether it be problems with friends, relationships, or anything that turns my happy mood to a terrible mood. And ONLY ON FULL MOONS. I don't understand it, and it seems so weird.

Despite how He has punished people in the past and continues to punish us in different ways for stuff we had no part in (such as the Garden of Eden). Or how God can allow stuff to happen that troubles us.
I am Christian, but hey, everyone wonders about certain things, right? In fact, at one time I was so scared of God that if the thought of Him being there with me came across my mind, I would get rather uneasy.

people are so bent on getting me to do things that "feel good", but I've realized that I'm not part of this world anymore, so my agenda is changed.

pagans and atheists: what am I supposed to do? go back to your way of thinking and feel bad about myself? don't ever judge me again, you liberal freaks.

Please consider these details too, thanks:

i am often heart broken by the immense suffering and struggles people are confronted with in their lives. for many people, life is a terribly harrowing experience.

at the same time, i appreciate religions for trying to help these people, for volunteering as NGO's, for running soup kitchens, for starting organisations like world vision. the more i look at religion, the more i see it as providing services of emotional, social and moral support to those who are needy, who suffer, and who struggle against the sometimes enormous unfairness of life.

so this makes me wonder about religious belief. people who are in such hard circumstances may subscribe to a religion because it, essentially, boosts their morale, or shields them from the psychological impact (at least).

does this explain why, in the West (for example), christianity has, er, suffered (hehe), because we have become affluent and suffering is not a primary part of life?

There is an alleged miracle in the gospels (the Gadarine swine) where Joshua (Jesus' s real name as Jesus is a Greek mistranslation) drives hundreds of demons out of the mind of a mad man and send them into the minds of a large herd of swine. The swine then all drown themselves.
(a) Why would pigs be in a Jewish community as they did and do not eat them and Jews would not tolerate pig farming even today ( If you don't believe this try get zoning for a hog farm in Israel)?
(b)If true do you think this shows that Joshua had no respect for other people's property as being divinely omnipotent he could have got rid of the demons in a less destructive way?
(c) If true do you think Joshua advocated cruelty to animals and had sadistic tendancies ( those poor wee piggies)?
(d) In view of my observations do you think this story is a pack of lies.
Please answer all parts of this question....The Pilgrim
