I know there's the "don't ask, don't tell" policy in the army, but what about cops?

Yes...and they can not be discriminated against in the workplace for it either.

There was a male officer here who had a sex change and was then constantly made fun of by coworkers....she/he sued. And won. And is still an officer. So Yes yes yes...I'm 100%

Yes they can be! However, I suggest that one use discretion. Some careers are better suited to being "out" than others and as an "out" lesbian I've experienced it first hand.

yes, they can. As a matter of fact, most large cities have gay squads. A man in uniform, YUM!!!!

Of course they can be, they might not be accepted by their peers. But yeah you can be openly gay.

sure why not. the only people who have a problem with that is the church. and church/religon is not asociated with our law.
