I am training to be a child protection social worker and it just seems everyone i talk to looks at me very strangely when i tell them my career aims.
I haven't changed, but it seems social workers seem to be feared / hate figures and just wondered why.
After all we are not there to take peoples children away, quite the opposite really.

throughout my life i have noticed that small children and animals seem to pick up on things most adults don't. on some instances ive been in a room and my dog and my child would stare at the same thing for no reason. I looked where they were looking and all i saw was a blank, white wall. on other occasions my baby and my dog will start to cry and bark randomly at almost the same moment. These kind of things happen quite frequently. Can someone explain this for me?

My cousin was having a tough time living with his parents, so I asked him to move in with me, and he did. His Parents hate the dangerous lifestyle he's chosen to live. He's 20. I'm 26, complete oposite of what he is. My family is looking up to me to convince him that it is possible to be a successful black man with out getting your hands dirty. I love him to death, andhe's probably the only person in my life that I have no problem been roommates with.

How do I show him that you can use your brain power, strategy, business sense, personality and social skills to get what you need rather then sell things that are illegal?

He seems to be happy doing what he;s doing. I don't want to treat him like his parents did.

Should I just let him be, or intervene.

Do some people read just the HEAD LINE line and think they know the facts of what the article is about..Today was ground hog day and from everything I read it said that spring is just around the corner. but some people read last years results and think spring is 6 weeks away. So to know that precious metals are measured in troy ounces, and that that weighs less than a regular ounce you would know that the regular commodities would be heavier, now is that COMMON SENSE or uncommon sense...did you read all the information or just jump into it for some easy points?

At the end of the month i take all my coins to be counted and usually have a few dollars worth of canadien coins that are worthless in vending machines, I understand that canadien vending machines take U.S. coins with no problem, and they are worth more in an exchange rate, should one country make their coins a differnt size so we could tell instantly, or is this just a worthless cause and I should live to canada and laugh at people like me?
