The 'feature' of 'free' content when 'free' really means you simply pay for what you get through junk mail and spam made possible by your having to register for content - that's not free content. Rather that is forcing me to deal with yet another account so you can get free demographics.

Related are sites that will not allow browsing unless you supply a valid email as you can't have an account unless you get the password in your email. Again, this just means more crap in your inbox you didn't ask for.

Sites that say they don't sell or share personal information, yet do so as soon as they can profit from the sale of said information.

The 'feature' of popups, popunders, timed ads that prevent content from loading until you've watched the ad, etc.,...

Lack of a phone number for contact purposes or hiding the number... all for my 'convenience'.

The 'feature' of only working in Internet Exploder. Particularly when the site works fine, but is coded specifically to prevent other browser usage - a standards complying website that detects a non IE browser than uses the detection to deny access.

The search 'features' that don't allow complex algorithmic searches or don't explain the rules the site uses for complex algorithmic searches. Example: can't search for multiple character strings or don't explain whether you need to use a + or and & between said strings.

Sites that think the use of active-x is a 'feature'.

Sites that think they have so many cool 'features' that the publishers think they are doing me a favor for publishing their site rather than me doing them a favor by visiting.

Sites who's 'features' don't work unless you allow them to set a cookie. (I'm not talking about shopping carts sites - I'm just walking through the store - I don't have a cart and am inclined not to get one)

These are a few things I dislike about websites.

Sites that don't do that crap.

These are the things I like about websites.

- Ease in navigation
- Sitemap to show directory

- Information updated regularly
and that's almost all...

Features I dislike:
- Poor navigation
- No sitemap (hard to find the correct urls at times)
- Too much graphics or animations (very distractive)
- Background music (very distractive)
