A pheromone is any chemical or set of chemicals produced by a living organism that transmits a message to other members of the same species. There are alarm pheromones, food trail pheromones, sex pheromones, and many others that affect behavior or physiology.

No, I think it all stems from the penis and sex drive (most name androgen, male sex hormone, production). Look at my source and scroll down to the two sections on psychology & physical factors.

Women have less androgens than men (a lot less). Could be why they always have "a headache" when it comes time for sex.
