I'd recommend:

1) In high school consider taking as many science and mathematics courses as possible. Try to get good grades.

2) In undergraduate college you should consider majoring in chemistry or a related subject. Related subjects could include biology, chemistry, mathematics or physics. If you, for whatever reason, don't major in chemistry you should contact the graduate chemistry program you want to get into and make sure that subject is good enough for program entry. Try to maintain an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 (the higher your grade the better the chance of acceptance into a good graduate program).

3a) Get either an MA or PhD in Chemistry. For academic positions the M.A. level will allow you to work as a chemistry teacher in high school or a community college/Jr. college setting and the PhD level will allow you to work as a professor (and do research on the side). A bachelors, masters, or PhD can get you a job in the field of chemistry. However, the higher your degree (and more research you put in) will allow you promotions and salaries. Most leading chemists have PhDs.

3b) (optional) If you get very good grades in your undergraduate program (such as a 3.5 or above) you should consider (if you have an interest in medicine) applying to medical school. Chemistry students usually make very good medical students. Plus, the benefits of becoming a doctor (such as helping others, high salary, flexibility, etc...) are great. But expect many years in med school.

Study chemistry or major in chemistry in college or something. Good enough, yes?

Well, to put it shortly, you'll have to major in chemistry in college and then get Masters degree, and then a doctorate degree. I don't know what you do from there.
