The answer to your question is very long but I will give you a short summary.

No matter in what part of the world middle class families have the same problems of finance, relationship and culture.

Children copy their parents. It is the parents who with their actions and thoughts have to set an example on the children about good family values.
Parents have to teach the children about truth, respect to each other and elders, manners, etc. It is parents who will lay the foundation of the emotional behaviour of the child. How to treat fellow human beings, how to be thankful, how to be polite, how to be soft spoken, how to behave towards the less privileged , the disabled and animals and plants..Tolerance of religion, discipline, civic education , hygiene and nutrition. The parents have to teach anger management to the child, what is forgiveness and what is love.
They have to teach their children to give back to the society also, to help the under privileged in some manner.

If the foundation is strong then no other influence can change the character of the person: the family values will be so strong and good , that the members of the family will help each other emotionally and financially.

The future is in teaching the children from birth .This holds good not only for India but for the whole world.

In india family values continue to hold the key in upholding our culture and tradition. Western cultures do have an impact in terms of food, outlook, dress sense but you should understand that western countries do respect tradition and family values in India. It is not that the west is divorce galore, they also cherish family values. Nowadays it seems that both husband and wife go to work and consequently find not as much time to spend with children and elderly folks and joint families are slowly giving way to children finding their own homes after marraige. Children do have strong bonding with grandparents in india and the divorce rate continues to be low despite globalisation. Also disposable income is high these days and parents can affort a lot for their kids. I hope the situation does not deteriorate.

Dont be afraid about globalization. Everything western is not bad - just be aware of the hegemony, the rest can be accepted.
