why do most guys care so much about the phycal apperance of a wonan when they know that the woman's good looks will fade in a few years?

I’m a guy in love with my girl friend. I have one problem that I know I need to improve on. I have trouble having my girl friend understand what I’m saying when I talk to her. I can tell my girl friend doesn’t often understand me when I talk to her. I understand men and women have a different style in talking/listening/understanding. What could I do to make my girl friend understand me better when I explain things to her? How could I explain things in her style of language so she understands? Tips and suggestions would be greatly appreciated because I want to see this relationship work.

also if you know people that have gone there you can contribute as well. How is the social atmosphere at Xavier. What is it's reputation like? Are the classes and teachers cool? I'm nervous as ****, but yet I am excited to go to college. Is college really how it's portrayed in the movies or is that all overrated. Also what is the Cincinnati area like, is it dangerous etc., names of fun places to hang out or go? I'm coming from relatively far away, and I know absolutely no one.

The Bible, both NT and OT, is filled with stories and parables about mankind overcoming adversity by both having faith in a higher power and the inner strength to be resolute in their actions. The key to this being the strength of the individual to see their task through to the end, asking God for guidance without desperation. You cannot petition the Lord with prayer.

Having said that with the full knowledge that there is no exact entry with the specific words "God helps those who help themselves", I am wondering if the majority of current Christians have lost sight of our free will and are now completely dependant upon faith without action. I am going to say again that I was raised Greek Orthodox and still follow the beliefs and lifestyle with which I had grown up.

In short, are most Christians only running on blind faith without reason?
