Do YOU like boredom? People do like boredom but they do not like boredom forever. What is boredom? Something repeated itself. People do like boredom then because they do not have to face changes and challenge. And everybody loves an easy life. What is boredom? Having nothing to do, nothing that would fit our enjoyment. People do like boredom then because nobody wants a busy life. Everybody wants to sit back and do nothing. Why don't I like boredom? Because I think of the consequences. If I prefer boredom, I will live an easy life with no expectation for myself and for the world that I am living in. Then I would not mind living with the rats in the dump, would I? If I prefer boredom and I will do nothing with my life, who would work for the food that I eat, who would work for the rent money and many other things? I do like boredom, but just in passing, like 5 minutes of boredom of the day. I do not want to live in boredom forever. I want to have a life that does have expectations, challenges, obstacles and consequences. Aren't they what make life worth living?

Boredom for me equals loneliness and later depression. I'd much rather have something productive to do with my time and energy. Life is filled with excitement and twists. I'd rather be excited than bored any given day of the week!
What about you? Why don't you like boredom?

I actually like boredom sometimes. I crave days when i can just veg out on the couch and watch my 250 channels of nothing and have nothing to do and nowhere to go. I get tired of go,go,go all the time.

ah, invasion of the buddho-taoists! actually, as among: being, doing, and having, i'm most enthralled by being, so boredom's never a big problem (being an infp helps, of course). getting the West into enjoying being, even somewhat equally with the other two "states" would be a major coup, would it not?
