The government pays farmers to not grow crops so supply doesn't outweight demand, right?

Lots of people pout there need work, right?

Why not let these farmers grow corn, soy, peanuts, or whatever crop can be refined & tured into a cleaner-burning fuel than oil?

This would create work for the farmers, work for the people needing to build the refineries for the new fuel, and work for the people needed to run the refineries. People working in the oil business now could shift to the bio-fuel industry.

If we did this, we could depend on our own oil, not oil form across the world, and it would be better for our air quality. Maybe even thr gas prices would eventually be lower once we had enough stations, farms, & refineries.

It looks like a win-win situation all around. Why can't this be done?

This has happened twice to me. I am loading up my car, and a car pulls up near me. They say they work for an electronics store and have a bunch of equipment they need to give away or it will be thrown away. Obviously, I decline, get in my car, and drive away. I'm sure that everyone does not. What happens to those people who fall for this?

The USA makes it impossible to migrate. When my wife emigrated from Switzerland, it cost more than $2,500 for miscellaneous INS fees and another $4,000 in legal fees. The process took over 5 years, AFTER we got married. There wouldn't be such a debacle over this issue if the USA would loosen their policies on immigration. If it was easier to become a citizen, or permanent resident- there wouldn't be so much rampant tax evasion and illegal employment. These poor immigrants would be able to contribute so much more if they were welcomed into the USA, rather than feared.

Isn't it really the USA who has failed this issue? Wouldn't you want to emigrate to the USA if you lived in Mexico? Shouldn't we be WELCOMING Mexicans instead of FEARING and LOATHING them?

I went to interview at geek squad last week and they offered me a job on the spot. I accepted the job and they put me in for orientation and I even got the drug test taken..now two days after that I had an interview with Sprint for a very nice job position and the next day i got a job offer from them as well..I definitely want the sprint job so how do i call Best Buy and say no to them when i am technically already their employee and they think ill be there for my orientation tomorrow..i am confused :( In the mean time i want to refuse the job in a way that if i need to go back to them in the future they will hire me again..maybe it's selfish of me but i still want to do that...any help in this regard would be appreciated.
