"I received a job offer from Sprint and I have decided to take that position. I appreciate the opportunity to work for you, however this job is right now more in line with my career goals. Please accept my apologies for any inconvience I caused."
Great luck on the new job!

It's going to be difficult to have Best Buy consider hiring you again. When you accepted the job they rejected all other applicants, who may at this point have accepted other jobs. Best Buy now has to go through the trouble of reposting the job and hiring someone else. They're not likely to forget the trouble you caused them. They're also not going to wait to see how Sprint works out and take you back if it doesn't.
Having said that, I definitely advocate choosing the job that's best for you. If Sprint is the better offer, call Best Buy immediately and explain that, while you did accept their offer, you have decided to accept a different position with a different company, and appologize. The reaction you get is going to depend on the manager and human resouces employees in charge of finding someone to replace you with, but hopefully it works out at least somewhat positively.
Remember that Best Buy's experience with you may affect attempts to get a job later, since you are technically their employee now and they are a part of your employment history.
Good Luck!

Be respectful and call them A.S.A.P before they put any money into hiring you and let them know the truth that a job you had previously applied for called and you really had opted for the other job first and would like to take it,give them your sincere gratitude for thier job offer but you have to decline at this time and you hope to be given proper consideration if you ever do apply again. Most likely at a place like that they will be greatful that you were considerate enough to call them and not just be a no show believe me they get thousands of them!!So you will more than likely you will be able to work there in the future if you need to. NEVER burn your bridges because believe ME! I learned the hard way eventually you will cross them again and need them!Take the good job but really make sure you deal with the other job @ Best Buy...Good Luck!!

Phone the manager. Tell her or him that you were offered a position that will pay you more. Next, apologize sincerely for the inconvenience you have caused the manager, and tell her or him that this was tough decision (even if it wasn't--you want the manager to feel valued for her or his time, and you never know, you may need Best Buy for a future job). Essentially, you are quitting your current job with Best Buy. All the best to you--and congratulations on getting two job offers.

Call Best Buy and ask to speak to either your (new) manager or the individual that hired you. State you are pleased that they offered you a position with their company but another offer with better compensation has come along--the bottom line is we all work to make money--they should understand that--but do call them-don't just not show up for orientation--I've know people who do that--not professional!

If you are sure that you want the job at Sprint, just call the other place and explain the situation to them.
You don't want to completely shut the door to the geek job, just in case it doesn't work out with Sprint.
You're not being selfish, you're just looking out for yourself.
Nothing wrong with that at all.
Good luck !

Honesty is always the best policy. Explain to them that you got hired by Sprint and it offers a better opportunity for you. Thank them for their offer; and tell them that you'd like to give Sprint a try...but if for any reason it didn't work out; could you please come back and work for them? Be very apologetic and sincere...and they won't rule you out in the future. Good Luck...and Congratulations.

IMO, I think you shouldn't take the Sprint job. I used them as my carrier and they are thieves. If you call with a question the next thing you know your contract is renewed with the date of your question and a $40 fee on your next bill and you have to fight, complain and wait and fight some more and talk to a manager and then threaten them to get your money back. Go with Geek Squad, better Karma.

Just ring them up and tell them sorry but you have been offered a better position. It is really bad and stupid not to tell them, you never know you might well walk out on the other job and need to go back. You sound very fickle to me.

Call them and let them know how much you appreciate the offer but another opportuinity that better suits your talents has been offered to you. Express how much you enjoyed your brief time with them and how difficult it was to make this decision. It compliments them while rejecting them and gives you a better chance in the future to return there should you decide to.
