I love my fiance. very much. but i know when i am with him, a part of me is shadowed. he's a very intelligent man, and when we go out, he takes center stage. I wouldn't mind this if i didn't feel i never get a chance to voice my opinion. He's very engaged in conversations, and usually directs them towards others, so I feel uncomfortable butting in. This makes me feel very aloof in public situations with him. Not to mention that his friends think I have no opinion on anything, and am not very smart!
The thing is I am a very opinionated woman, and before I met him, I had great conversations with people. Now, except when I hang out with my friends alone, I feel like I am losing my voice.
I should also add that I am a writer, and I feel this loss of voice is slowly creeping into my writing as well.
In a nutshell, what can I do? I tried to talking to him, but it seems i;m asking him to alter his personality, which I don't want to do. It seems all I wnat t do is prove that i'm smart

Well I usually classify a girl's beauty as either "cute" or "pretty"

Cute - You're not "that" beautiful but everyone thinks your cute and you posses a so called "baby" face.

Pretty - You're considered to be beautiful, but not everyone thinks your beautiful. and you posses a more serious and mature look.

well iv pretty much been like this for a long time. im a 15 year old girl. i get really obsessed over a crush sometime. its like all i think about. once i had one like this for almost a year. i get really crazy about him, sometimes for many months, and than when i finnaly stop liking him i feel realy very sad. like he dumped me or something. like hes a big jerk. usualy when my crushes end ill think the guy is verry unappealling, ugly, jerk, stupid. and ill feel stupid that i even liked him. i usually almost never talk to my crushes. i even feel this way when my crushes are on tv. is this normal and has it ever happened to any of you?

I love men. I love being a girly-girl. I consider myself a Feminist because I support equal treatment of women. We have a right to be feminine, sexy AND still be taken seriously. I think we should recieve equal pay for equal work, and I think violence against women needs to be handled better ( amongst many, many other things). I'm independent. My monther was a single parent because dad walked out on her, so she had to be the bread winner. Why do people only see the "radical" side of feminism? Are these bad things??? I don't get people...
