A good wife is described in Proverbs 31. Such an honorable women deserves a husband as described in Ephesians 5:
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

a good husband. just for being a good husband.
I think standards have changed significantly on what qualifies as a good marriage.
For example, it use to be that a good marriage meant that the man brought home the bacon and the woman took care of the house and kids. Nowadays, that is not the case. More and more women are in the workplace and there are even some men at home with the kids.
So could it be that for once in history the relationship between the man and woman is the determining factor of what constitutes a good marriage? And if so, what makes for a good relationship?

She should expect to get fat and have her husband divorce her. Any twit can be a good wife. Are you a good person? Don't you want more for yourself? If not, more power to you, but what are you going to do with yourself once the kids are off to school? Are old enough to not need you to be there when school is over. Just make sure you're doing something for yourself in the meantime. Take a class!

she should be a good wife without expecting nothing in return....that is the job of being a good wife....naturally, she is gonna get something from her husband, anyway.....but the problem here is "expecting"....doesn't anybody do it without looking for payback.....if you extend love, love naturally comes back to you....need i say more?

being a good wife does not mean you are expected to be or do anything.
Be who you want to be.
if you are a good wife then you deserve to be treated with respect and as a queen.
don't let your partner abuse you are take advantage of you. Be you who you want to be. with no expectations

why should you expect anything for being a good wife? do you want a reward for loving your husband? besides him being a good husband too? if you do then your just being selfish... and your not a good wife
