I'm just sort of curious about people who weren't raised by a feminist. Were you in college? What was it in you that said I want to be part of that?

Since I was raised with the ideaology, I think its important to point out that my Mom loved my Dad, we took showers and even shaved our pits, we wear make-up and enjoy shopping (my Mom said this was not lookin good for the man, but more a way of self expression and just lookin good for yourself). We even love to nurture our children. Being raised in the 70's, my Mom thought it was important for me to grow up knowing that just because I was female didn't mean I was any less valuable than a male. Period. I mowed the lawn, took out the trash, picked up dog poo, used power tools, you name it, drive motorcycles, and I can spit a watermelon seed farther than anyone.

This is why I'm curious how you came into this and how you incorporate into your daily life. I don't even think about it, you know? It was just our way of life.

It has been stated today in responses to questions that men cannot control themselves when it comes to sex. Men have responded that they have difficulty controlling their urges.
Do they just not try??? Or is it because society has given men the ok to just let those feelings loose?

according to many religions, virginity is very important, not only to women, but men too. so why is it that it's always the women that are shunned for not being virgins, while men are considered "powerless" and without control over their sexual urges (as some have claimed)?

i was an observer going to this elementary school where real zoo animals interacted with children on a regular basis(freely, no cages). Among the animals, a male lion stood out to me and i got a very wierd feeling about him. The teacher tells me "you can touch him, he's friendly!" and I back away and give her this fearful look. "don't worry, he's been around these kids for a very long time, he would never hurt a soul" she continued. I denied her offer and went to take a seat in the school gym as i watched the animals interact with children. I was still uneasy about this lion. Before I know, the lion rips a boy to shreds. The whole school is in an uproar as the lion begins attacking everyone. I split. I'm running and running out of the school and onto the street where I think i'm free but lion is behind me and follows me into an alley. my mom appears and she doesn't even care if the lion eats her as she stands in harms way. I plead with her to hide with me...she declines, i wake up.

I met someone... we got along incredibly (he was gushing about me nonstop... we got very close).. now he's switched off and avoiding me. He is a diagnosed bipolar on meds (lithium, etc). He also lives in a different city. I've sent him several e-mails -- he reads them and does not respond. It's been 2 weeks now. I know he had recent stress (he doesn't handle stress at all) so I don't know if it's rejection or caused by the disorder. I have been told to walk away by friends but I feel attached... and very, very hurt. I don't know if I should stick it out and wait to see if he comes around? um... i just wish he would tell me if he didn't want me in his life. I'm not sure what's going on (I don't understand this disorder). I'm not even sure if he's hibernating in a 'cave' somewhere having an episode. He won't even answer if he's okay! How do I cope? Thanks. Please don't respond if you are going to say mean things... i feel so fragile as-is.

I picture some police chief looking in through a cell-window, and saying something like 'Welcome to hell'.

And I hope they get it.

Could you imagine their crazy perspective?

One second you are shouting 'God is great', thinking 'FOURTY TWO VIRGINGS ALL FOR ME! WHOOPIE!!!'

And the next minute, the reality is "OH F***.'

And it will only get worse.

Doctors too. Interesting. Possibly the most interesting part of these new incidents. Glad they didn't attend a decent technical university like me....they can't make bombs for sh1t! Thankfully.

I hope it involves sleep deprevation, drugged food, regular beatings - the lot.

I had this nightmare of sorts that's been bothering me, its not long but its certainly disturbing:

Okay... it was broad daylight and I was standing behind this supposedly haunted house. I opened the door going down into the basement. It was dimly lit and messy, there was probably only one light hanging from the ceiling.

I opened the door to a bathroom in there - there was no light except for the single bulb shining from the basement ceiling, it illuminated a messy bathtub and a closet-like door to the left.

I went to open the door with one hand while holding the bathroom door halfway open with the other, just enough to have some light there. A part of me was afraid something was gonna try to get in there, that's why I was holding it as a precaution.
Low and behold, my fear became real when I saw the shadow of an eerie feminine figure on the wall, trying to come in after me, pushing the door with all its might. I did my best to keep it from coming in, but it was VERY strong and persistent so....

It got in and there it was in front of me - a monster or ghost in the form naked woman, long dirty blond hair, evil demonic eyes, a patch of flesh molded onto her mouth. She looked like she was gonna kill me. I felt myself beginning to scream and I woke up, on the verge of screaming.

This was VERY scary and I still have that woman's face in my head, it terrifies me to the point of tears whenever I remember it. What the heck is this dream all about? I know all dreams, even scary ones, don't mean harm and are trying to tell u something... but I'm lost on this one.

This is a guy question only. Guys when you were born, and if you had to choose one of these people to be, which person would you choose to be? Why?

1) An italian guy, that grew up to be 5 feet 8 inches tall. Has short black hair, and spikes it with hair gel. Likes to meet girls around his age, and graduated high school and college. For a job, he is a flight-attendant for a major airline. He works-out and has muscular abs and beiseps. wears good looking clothes, and is straight.

2) A blond guy who is 6 feet 2 inches tall. He is built with muscles, and is good at meeting girls. Has a lot of friends, and is straight. He owns a resturant, and makes a lot of money off of his job. Graduated high school and college.

3) A guy who is 5 feet 9 inches tall, and id a gym teacher for a high school. Is good at playing every sport, and respects anyone who comes into his sight. He has a part time job, as a life-guard. Likes to work-out shirtless, and graduated school.
