Same things women did for eons before Kotex was invented. You'd either stuff some extra cloth in your underwear or find something in the wild that'd do. She'd probably have other things to worry about than whether blood was running down her leg.

I would be more concerned with finding my way out of woods then with getting a little blood on myself.

She would find something to cover the blood. Women have dealt with it in teh past when people loved in nature so yeah nothing would go wrong.

I reckon some women could cope, find natural materials to assist them, and get through it just fine.
Others might not.
It really has nothing to do with being female, or with having a period.
Resourceful people survive (and thrive) while others struggle.

Ours traditionally used soft leather for that purpose, although anything naturally absorbent has been throughout history. My first thought would be mosses.
