my face alwasy shows my emotions- even when I try to hide it. my mother is the same way (stupid genes!). I wonder if I could ever work as a counselor, therapist, psychologist, or something similar since I can't keep a blank face. I know there is training on how to do this, but I don't know if I could ever be taught to not show my emotions when I don't even realize when I do it.

Well i am a really shy person. I'm not really outgoing when i meet new people and i get homesick reallyyy easily. I don't like being like this but it's just how i am. My mom suggested that i do one of those summer abroad things for teenagers because she thought it might help me to have a life changing experience. Do you think its a good idea for me based on my personality to live away from home for a month in another country? Do you think it may help me come out my shell a little more or will i just be miserable?

I'm coming to terms with the fact that the things I want in life aren't going to be mine. I'm never going to have friends and go to parties and I'm never going to be a musician. These have been my two main goals since the start of high school and now I'm over half way through my first year of university and I'm am finding that neither of these things are going to happen. I've been alone too long and started the music too late to play with others my own age. I need something new to do with my spare time that I can do alone and that does require any athletic abiliy (I have none). I need something to get my mind off my dissapointment and aim myself towards. What are some suggestions.

Whether we have an obsession with a celebrity, a friend, a crush, a lover, a TV show, a book, or a band, we all usually have one some time or another.
Whenever I have obsession over something, i'm usually unfufilled and sad about something, and obsessing and daydreaming over a celebrity, band, or characters in a TV show seem to superficially fill the void. Usually the obsessions just fade with time. I get out and be social and they usually wane.
When do you usually develop obsessions and how have you overcome them?
BTW i'm not talking about OCD tendencies and such, but i've come upon the realization that most of use become obsessed with something one time or another.

In your opinion when does a man become responsibel for a child ?

1. The woman should be abel to declare any man as the fathers children with all legal consequences

2. When he is married to the mother no matter who fathered the child

3. If the mother is unmarried she should be abel to put any name on the birth certificate out of the pool of men she had sex with, in case she doesnt want to put the name of the biological father on it, because he ran off, has less money is a felon, whatever, so any man who had a shot at her.

4. Only the biological father of the child should be held accountabel by law, unless another man steps in out of his free will in full knowledge that he did not father the child.

There seem to be two contradictory positions taken on here.

1) When asked why women go to sperm banks, put the incorrect father on a birth certificate, file for no fault divorce and get child support or fail to exercise their full reproductive rights to "saying no", contraception, the morning after pill and abortion and having the child anyway, not to mention claiming women can "have a child on their own these days":

People here claim men do not need a father, or they have a "right to motherhood" regardless of male involvement.

But whenever I bring up consequences of not having a father on a child:

*Among long-term prison inmates, 70 percent grew up without fathers, as did 60 percent of rapists and 75 percent of adolescents charged with murder.

*They are up to 40 times more likely to experience child abuse compared with children growing up in two-parent families.

2) They claim feminism had no hand in it and opt to blame men.

They are contradictory. Which one is it?

To hire someone to give self lethal injection to commit suicide.

Has anyone ever heard of this or thought of this?

A friend of mine who seems quite depressed but also has an offbeat sense of humor has said this before ... that he'd like to pay someone to give him a lethal injection because he was too afraid to kill himself and wants to go peacefully.

He then says, I don't really mean it.... but he has a tendency to "joke around" about it more frequently when he's depressed.

Should I be concerned?

Bad

Do you think Babies and children or also adults for that matter have a right to their biological father ? In 30% of the cases the name of the father on the birth certificate is the wrong one. Should a DNA test be made mandatory after birth, so that the children can learn weather or not the man they call father actually fathered them or would you say children have no such right ?

With 30% of paternity tests under suspect circumstances now proving that the man involved was NOT the father of the child:

http://www.aabb.org/Documents/Accreditation/Parentage_Testing_Accreditation_Program/rtannrpt04.pdf

And this being extrapolated to the general population at around a 4 -5% rate of paternity fraud (with that number possibly/probably being higher if more tests are done).

And the fact that women are now just unfaithful equally if not more than men (in fact around 4 years of fidelity is all that can be counted on):

http://www.womensinfidelity.com/

Not to mention the existence of no fault divorce and 85% rate of maternal custody granted by the courts, providing a cop out of marriage for women:

Shouldn't we just repeal this law now that we can't really count on women to be faithful and that the marriage contract is not worth the paper it is written on?

I cant say what it is or it will unbalance the answers, so lets just say you have a nice car it may be a bit old but it still works good and has no major problems but you want a new one and you know you should because the old one is shure to have problems sooner or later. Dont make a big deal out of this I am just asking how do you change your mind to want something weather it makes sence or not? I mean what if I get a new one and hate it or as I get used to it I find I dont like it, knowing I could have kept the other one? Dont get me wrong I want it I just dont want it enough to go thru all the hassel of the change. Please help this is killing me!

If you think about it, there has got to be something provoking the husband!!! I mean, women are "usually" better with words, so since the husband cannot find a way to fight back with words, his only way would be to punch her lights out a couple times in retaliation to her uncanny b1tchiness. Think about it.

I'm tired of my grandmother. I love her greatly but i can't stand her. I don't want to be around her. Just now i felt like cutting myself because of her. I was trying to prevent her from doing something stupid and my family party and I looked like the enemy. She drives me crazy. I can't stop the tears right now. She sticks to me like a magnet. I really embarrassed myself and the new guests think that theirs something wrong with me.

I've been sitting here all night. I haven't had sex for months. I did this thing that includes having a lot of people dying and it was the only thing I could think of to not lose face. My dad helps me a lot, but I still don't know what he wants. I thought I impressed him a couple of weeks ago by giving him a present, but he still acts the same. I don't have any reason to be sad. I have a big ranch and lots of money. I've got lots of worldly power, but people still hate me. I want to quit my job, but I'm afraid if I do, I'll look like a wimp. I'm really tired of that moniker. I never did well in school, and I sort of skipped out on military duty. I just feel really strange. Should I quit my job?
