You go to the other side. Wherever that may be. I have experienced enough weird things that I know we just don't cease to exist. We definitely continue somewhere else. I personally believe that heaven or hell is what we create. And that our loved ones are there waiting for us. And when we die we will remember everything we knew before we came to be.

generally you decay into a matter that supports life for other things.

if you meant in a meta-physical sense, i believe you enter an ultimate conscienceness where there is no past present or future. a sort of heaven, only more compact and no wings. where you can learn of the future and past at the same time. where all the answers of the universe come from.

perhaps on some other level you can choose to live a certain life elsewhere, in a sort of reincarnation.

A mortician takes you to a mortuary, drains your blood, refills your body with some other vial fluid, maybe even steals your organs and sells them to some other person and you might get to live through someone else. Otherwise, you are buried or cremated and left to rot in a grave forever.

If you believe in life after death, then your spirit will leave your body and you will prepare to crossover to a higher place. You might come back as someone or something completely different than yourself.

You are judged by God Himself. Did you have faith in him here on earth? Believe that what he did when he sent his Son Jesus to earth? That he did it for you? Make an effort to live for him? You will give an account on why you think he should let you into His kingdom. If so, in you go to spend eternity in paradise with Him.

If, in fact.. someone is the opposite of the above, and did not recieve the free gift of eternal life here on earth, you will very much be apart from God for all eternity, and together with fire and brimstone.

Depends who you listen to. Some believe in heaven, some in reincarnation, some believe there is nothing after you die.

My personal belief is that it's sort of like a night in which you do not realize you are dreaming. You have no conscience, and your mind is no longer unified with your body. You have fallen into a dark abyss, an abyss in which the troubles and tribulations you consider severe in your normal life have withered away into nothingness.
