When it comes to comprehending complex subjects and mastering difficult topics, taking tests, etc. (anything mental) I am okay. But when it comes to anything mechanical - and I mean the SIMPLEST things, I'm at a loss. I was unable to use a can opener until I was 14. Everyone who taught me how to use a pill cutter successfully used it - when I tried to do it, following their directions, I fxcked it up and now it's broken. I suck at high school science labs because I am SO slow to figure out how to use the tools/equipment. I cannot use a compass, protractor, anything that simple! I guess I just have no manual dexterity or common sense. How can I improve in these areas of weakness, because I can't function in life unless I am actually capable of doing simple tasks like this.
