I was surfing Wikipedia the other day, and I stumbled onto their article for "Rape Fantasy". According to Wikipedia "36% of women have had a rape fantasy, and 10% of women report this is their favorite type of fantasy". Just go to Wikipedia and type in Rape Fantasy.

That sounds screwed up. How true is this? Is Wikipedia reliable at all? The average man, me included, has no desire to rape a woman at all, and to think that women actually secretly want that level of domination is disturbing. I was even upset by that rape scene in Conan as a kid (before I went through puberty, indicating that a desire to rape is not inherent in men).

Maybe it should be renamed Wackopedia. Or, maybe women are a lot masochistic than I thought. Which one is it ladies?

I'm looking at a multiple regression model using natural logarithms for the x's. I understand what the betas mean (they are the elasticities), except for beta-1 (b1-the intercept). Here's the equation:
yi=b1+b2*ln(xi2)+b3*ln(xi3)+...+b7*ln(xi7)+ei
I just need to know what b1 means.

Hello you good helpers! I can't stand the way I'm feeling at the moment! I miss feeling content and relaxed. Now I feel at ease, a little sad, & angry. Some people tell me I have everything & should be happy (i.e. family, roof over my head, car), but I'm not. I haven't experienced anything tramatic like a loss or anything.

I'm an adult & not feeling confident. I worry about the future. I've had office jobs the last 10 years & don't like the environment & fear that I'll have to do this the rest of my life because I have no degree or any other kind of experience. I got a temp job (in an office), which I thought might change my outlook, but I can't stand it and it's affecting my mood.

I also worry that I do not have money, I'm living at home, my younger siblings are in steady careers & I'm not. No one seems to be having problems, but me. It's hard to be around them when I'm feeling low and they're upbeat. I don't even enjoy being around them. NO privacy at home. What to do?

Why not raise it to 10 dollars an hour?
$15 an hour. Who cares?

The bottom wage earners will still be the bottom wage earners right?

People at the top of the pay scale will make more money to adjust with inflation.
Prices will rise and inflation will increase.
The demand for illegal laborers will increase.
People will still buy a new car and a new TV before they buy health insurance.

It seems that Democrats think a minimum wage increase will take money from the rich and give it to the poor. Like a Robin Hood effect.

Is this really true?

My assignment is to write a paper on a current phenomenon. Basically explaining in a cause and effect manner why something has recently increased or decreased...For example...Why have divorces increased? or Why have gas prices decreased?
I have to find three newspaper articles that give their thoughts on the current trends and their idea of the causes/effects. I just need an idea for the paper....Thank you guys so much!

I went to the trouble to write a very good answer to a question, researched it even!

Could I have just done more than my limit for the day?

The question was, name a Christian warrior. I said William Wallace, he was really called Braveheart. Just what is wrong with that. If that is what it is, it was just considered wrong, then I quit right now!

Please note the following:

1) The asker, FridayNighter, directed the question to Muslims.
2) FridayNighter selected an answer from a non-Muslim (a bigoted and hate-filled non-Muslim) called Islamotard (aka religion of peace).
3) After selecting the answer, FridayNighter concluded with this statement - "...like i'm gonna believe what the others said!"

Now, my question?:

What is FridayNighter's intent on directing a question to Muslims, then selecting an answer from a bigoted non-Muslim and then concludes by proclaiming that any other answer (from Muslims specifically) will not be believed?

Ok, there's a lady named Mrs. Sholfield, who is wealthy and proper, but she had a tragic past. Her beloved daughter Evelyn, a rather rebellious girl, fell in love with a penniless Italian and eloped with him. But Evelyn, in the poor condition she was living in, dies from a fever after her miscarriage.

Anyways, years later, the 17 year old Charlotte goes to live under the gaurdianship of Mrs. Sholfield. Charlotte and Evelyn are similar in character.

Is it possible that Mrs. Sholfield should start thinking Charlotte to be her daughter Evelyn--at times going into a violent fit and calling Charlotte "Evelyn"? Would Mrs. Sholfield try to destroy Charlotte's spirit in fear that she'd run away like Evelyn??

This is for a story, give me phsycological details!!
