Gold, some foreign currencies.
As a consumable: not a single one, I hate price rises!
Unless of course I owned the manufacturing company producing the product.

Anything you produce and both sell and consume
Hamburger when you prefer steak and the price of beef gos up
Something you buy for status, because others can't afford it
Items where you think price =quality

As it is perceive the higher the price, the more exquisite and valuable it is.
It's all the trick of the mind.
In my country, everyone wants to buy a car, even though it costs almost triple more in my country than other countries. Car is labelled as a luxury instead of a transportation means here...
