If you lie the teacher will be furious, therefore you should just say, Mr/Mrs. Whatever..I'm sorry for putting the cracker in the microwave if there is anything i could do to help u replace it I'll be happy to help.

If you honestly forgot that there was something metal on the container you put in the microwave, tell him so. It's an honest mistake that can happen to anyone. Good luck!

Tell him the truth. Say it was a dumb thing to do and throw yourself on his mercy. He will think more of you if you are honest.
One of my teachers used to say, "Be sure your sins will find you out!"
You will feel a lot better about yourself if you tell the truth.
I've done the same thing making popcorn.

Good luck.

LMAO. Tell him that the power must have shortcircuited and the microwave lit on fire. You were just standing there when it started smoking, so you panicked and didn't know what to do. They should check the power plug, becasue there "must" be something wrong with it. lol. :-D

Did you do it on purpose or was it an accident? If he knows you were there you may as well say yes it was me but I accidently put in to long, my daughter puts things in to long and makes it smell horrible but so far it hasn't caught fire.

You didn't realize that it had a piece of foil stuck to the bottom of it or that you think that the power level was too high for what you had in the micro.
