Is it better for a species to be *very* intelligent but only somewhat social? Or is it better for a species to be *very* social but only somewhat intelligent?

Yes, you can include humans in the discussion. :) I was thinking of this mainly in the sense of "Would people have turned out better if they were more social but dumber?"

Self inflicted Chaos?

Don't ever ask for help so this is a way to circumvent that problem-
How does one stop causing chaos is ones life.
Background - 45yr white male living in the midwest, 9 kids in family, middle child, never knew father, very very little connection with mother, abusive step father.
Divorced - worked three jobs, wife fell in love with someone else, divorced her. both to blame - I know
Problem: Relationship, will stay away from anyone getting close to me ea: friends, family, girls lol
Jobs: Never lost a job, but caused myself promotions by disagree with the ones trying to promote me.
Finances: Make 70,000 but always in trouble financially, not bad enough not being able to get out of it in 2 months time.
Timing: will always wait to the last minute to leave, just to see if I can still get there on time. It just seems that everytime things are going great, I have to screw up some part of my live, to have to start over.
Any help for me, classic case I even took this down to the last le

Abused children becoming abusive parents?

I'm doing a causal argument paper on the possiblility and reasons that adults abused as children may become abuseive towards their own children later on, whether from alcoholism, emotional problems, or anger problems related to their childhood abuse.
