Considering you are an adult living away from your chaotic family, now divorced from problem relationship, there isn't a whole lot of chaos left in your life except financially. Since finances do affect our lives so much, it feels like everything is out of control. Get some good financial advice--read a book (Suze Orman is good), go to a financial counselor, or something to establish some better habits.
You are better off than you think--and you do deserve a good life.

i have to agree that it doesnt sound like your life is any more chaotic that most people. honestly, making $70K puts you in a better position than the average person is in. and getting out of debt within 2 months would be fantastic!! i have debt that will take me years to pay off, but i still know there are people in way worse trouble than me.
crap happens. its a part of life, not necessarily some psychological problem you have that causes you to sabbotage everything.
