I am not sure if you could die, but i've heard that in the falling dream, if you hit the ground, you will get a heart attack.

If you mean can we die in real life if we die in a dream, the answer is no.

Most people wake up just before death in a dream because we are afraid of death and our sub-conscious wakes us up so we don't have to witness the traumatic event.

In reality, you can die in your dreams and the dream can even keep going. Happens to me all the time.

Dreams are nothing more than your subconscious getting rid of your built up thoughts and feelings. Consider them the trash compacter of your mind. they can no more affect your waking world than can Freddy Kruger.

I have before in the dream. Not in real life obviously.
(I hope I go out with a hot brunette sitting in my lap and a cigar)
don't remember the specifics, Wish I wrote it down because I've become real interested in Death and reincarnation lately. Surely, there has got to be some sort of reason we gain wisdom and lose youth other than just continuation of the species.

You can die in your dreams. I have several times in sevaral ways. I even saw myself rising out of my body.

I believe that most people are so afraid of death that they wake up before it happens in their dreams. Like right before they hit the ground, for example. It's part of your instinct for self preservation.

I often realize that I am dreaming when these things happen, so I guess I'm not really scared and go with it.

Just as in waking, if you don't get immediate help, you could die from complications arising from things like stroke, heart attack, seizures, airway obstruction (choking, sleep apnea, etc.), and more.

In a recent Discover article, they highlighted a condition called Brugada Syndrome, which strikes less than one percent of a population. Brugada has been associated with sudden unexpected deaths occurring at night.

I have died in my dreams and have completed my dream as if I was watching everyone...somewhat like a ghost, but more of just a viewer.
It is very odd, but I'm sure that it happens to other people as well.

There is no proof of such a thing but I believe so.Why do we always wake up when falling off a cliff or similar? I think if we hit bottom we are dead.
