I'm asking this question because, about two years ago I had some medium acne, 2 years before that it was an operation for my ears and today it's some problem with my back that hurts when I run (because of a snowboard accident last year). I don't have any acne, my ears are fine, back still hurts. All these things have been hard for me and because of these I have a big problem of self esteem. I have trouble looking someone in the eyes when I talk / I'm very shy with girls / etc? Now, I look better and alot of girls are staring at me but I'm kind of avoiding them because of this self esteem problem. The only thing that helped me was at work, I manage the whole floor so, since then I speak lounder, not scared to give orders, etc. But I still have this problem with girls. Any help?

Who is at more of an advantage growing up? The early bloomer or the late bloomer? My friend and I were debating this. We are opposites as far as puberty is concerned. I hit puberty at 13. I am almost 15 now and still wearing a training bra and hardly have any pubic hair. No hips no nothing. Changing in gym class is a terrible experience. I hate swimming. Boys treat me like their little sister. I look like a 5th grader and i've had to watch helplesslyas my friends grow breasts and get periods and everything back in 5th and 6th grades. As a result, my self esteem is completely shot.

My friend argues that she had it worse, because she had started getting breasts in the 3rd grade and had her period in the 4th. She hated being the only girl in her class wearing a bra. She was a busty 12-year-old. It was very hard on her. She tells me how lucky I am that i don't have to deal with a period every month. But with her everyone else eventually caught up. So I think she was better off. Thoughts?

I am a very creative and ambitious person, but I don't have one of those constant running motors that makes me get up and go. Some days I really accomplish a lot, and other days I just can't muster the drive to do anything at all. I have struggled all my life to be more structured, disciplined, and work harder, but all I have done is become even more extreme on and off. Should I just accept that I am not a steady structured person, or should I find some way to boost my energy and drive? I am open to any and all serious ideas.

Please give a thoughtful answer. "just get your a s s in gear" is not going to do any good. Thanks.

Elaine morgan pioneered this idea that the reason humans have so little body hair, and babys can swim when they're born is that we once spent a lot of time in warmish water, eating a lot of fish, and evolved according to our new habitat. Food for thought? tell me yours...

I am bored so you can share ^_^

I remember when my father was telling me how to fly a kite and it would always stray away from us. I used to run after it and try to jump because I thought I could catch it. And he would just look at me and smile, he thought it was funny.

I remember when my father used to take me and my little sister to the beach and we'd ride our bikes on the tracks and ride to the cheesecake factory and eat there Sometimes, my cousin would go.
