have a place to go to. If you go to church ask if you can have a meeting there. make up a survey and poll some people in the area if the need is such that a group is worth the effort. it never hurts to have a go to professional that can offer info and has the time to sit in from time to time. be well studied on the subject. there will be questions.

I've never been, although I probably should considering that I have social anxiety myself. I have to be honest, a "Social Anxiety Support Group" seems like somewhat of a paradox. That's like a bunch of AA members meeting at a bar.

Welcome my friend,
Here you go, have a seat. You are in anxiety heaven, support heavenly needed.
Start a group there are places I believe in the 360 that allows it ( others might be able to help better in that area.) Join in discussions some days are good some are bad but if you get a group together you like well than you got it made. Take your shoes off, stay a while and be sure to Have a good one.

I think that's a great idea. To me, it be like an AA meeting. The drive of knowing that we (I) can go somewhere, with the comfort of knowing that "does it matter what they think" it's all OK. I would go about it this way. I would, talk to people, like at a laundry mat, grocery store, mall, anywhere, because everybody has anxiety issues, small, medium, or large, The reality of it is, people will comfort themselves with knowing that once they get out of the "anxiety rid en" domain, then the anxiety goes away. Well, NOT, it's a band-aid like everything else. Invite a few of your good friends over for pizza, pop, music, it doesn't matter. Of course they do not know why they are there. But, it's not different then when you had a pizza party, pop etc. any other time, take notes for future references of what they talk about when they GET there, as apposed to when they leave. The difference will prompt you to figure out how to initiate you support group. Good Luck

Sure, go sit in a corner and worry about it.... Then move to the next corner and worry more, there will be no support there so move to the next corner.... rinse and repeat...yes the room is a triangle... triangles get no support, a squared x b squared = c squared, no leg to stand on Sure, go sit in a corner and worry about it....
