No, you're not a terrible advisor. It just means that one person didn't think you were the BEST one. You might even have been the second to the best one.

Without considering the truth or falsehood in the answers, considering all the different reasons people accept answers and why they ask their questions, you did not say what they wanted to hear (one kind of person), or, you did not provide enough references for your data sources (another kind of person), or, you said something that reacted negatively to their psychosis (several other kinds of persons), or, the other answerer has a prettier face, or a more mystical avatar, or a less mystical avatar, or you have an avatar, or you do not have an avatar, etc etc etc.. So you see, *they* are the ones that are insane, not you. SO, don't worry about it.

No that doesn't mean that you are a terrible advisor, that just means people don't like your advice or that your advice is not the best in the world.

Just keep answering because sometimes when I least expect it they vote me as the best answer. Just keep it up!

Keep it up though! It took me many days of answering to finally get one accepted, and then, they kept coming. USually, it takes them a few days to pick a favorite answer!

The trick is to try to find questions that few people will take the time to answer (like this one) and try to come up with something poignant, whimsical, satirical or prophetic.

Don't you think this advise is worth.....Oh, I don't know......maybe.....10 points?

I think if you try to answer a question with intentions of it hopefully being "Best answer" jinxes you. Just answer what ever comes to mind and relax :)
