I have a brilliant mind which gives me unique ideas, but in groups I'm more of an observer. As a leader I have problems telling people what to do and when. What is something I could work on to make myself better at it?

We all know there are things the opposite sex does that we think is "stupid" and we are sure they only do it because they are the opposite sex. Name some.

Do you...

Ignore them?

Ask them why they feel that way?

Persuade them to see your way?

Give in to their opinion just to avoid conflict?

When you have a memory of sound, is there anything in your brain that vibrates at the pitch that the sound would have if you were hearing it through your ears? How about a chord: are two actual vibrations in your brain making the same reinforcements of crest and trough that sound waves do? How can you "hear" memories of sound? How do we get the sense of a musical chord?

I'm an undergrad at SUNY Binghamton finishing up my BS. I know we have a really good biomedical anthropology program for graduate students, but I don't want to go there for another 2-6 years.

I guess my question is, do you know of any schools (preferably along the Northeast coast) that have really good graduate programs? I'm looking at SUNY Albany right now, they only seem to offer an MA, but some of the research they're doing in biological anthropology seems quite intriguing.

Any suggestions? Experiences?

Recently Exxon released their quarterly earning (profit) of 10.3 BILLION dollars. What this means"we are being gouged at the pumps". Since our politicians are being funded by these big oil companies they will not help us. We can do something to lower prices by BOY COTTING these companies starting with Exxon service stations and Exxon products. It's a starting point.
When their corperate profits decline they will be forced to lower their prices.
When this quarter ends, the company reporting the Highest profit should be boy cotted for the next quarter until they lower their prices. In other words the companies with the highest profit will not get our business for the next quarter.
I hope everyone reading this will spend at least 5 points to continue circulating this message until everyone understands the importance of sticking together to pressure these companies to lower their prices. Doing nothing means business as usual for the oil companies. Take a stand now, Boy Cott

I just took the work experience girl down to the creepy basement at my work and told her all these random ghost stories, because she was scared of it already. Then I pulled her hair and pretended it was a ghost. I thought it was funny. What about you?

I cannot believe all of the bad answers to this question I have read.

Charity nor the bible will eliminate poverty. There are not enough people, that can be hounded with guilt, to willfully fund the end of Africa's poverty and, if God wished to end poverty he would.

It is the end game of God or fate to see how people will deal with this issue, regardless of your perspective.

The answer does NOT include nations plundering their citizens for the money. Nor should anyone be compelled to contribute.

What are some real solutions? What are the logistically feasible options? I would like to see answers from smart and creative persons only. At the end I will tell you what I think.
