Please help me...............I am an alcoholic...........I know I am.........its in my genes. I want to be a social drinker or not want to drink, one of the two. I feel like I suck when I drink but I cannot stop............when someone offers me a drink I take it and I cannot say no........I have a full time job..........I take care of myself and my child.........I am doing well financially.........but I cannot stop drinking...I don't want to go to AA meetings.........I know people who have gone to them and I don't think they would work for me.........I don't want to talk to a bunch of people but I would like to get some advice.........I am somewhat of an intelligent human being and would like some advice from someone who considers themselves to be the same.........I think I need help, could you please?

My cousin is currently living w/ me and my girl, and my girl has given him a specific timeframe to stay. When this time runs out, he will not be able to afford a car and a place, but he has decided that he would rather have a car than an apartment. He said he could stay in the car until he saves up and can afford a place to stay. Tell me what you think, so I can have some other opinions to show him. I had to post this one again. I am 17, and mentally I am a wreck. I have been depressed for years, I feel lost in my head, lethargic, insecure, mostly feel miserable and my moods go back and forth so quickly, talk to myself, socially isolated from the world, pretend I am other people, etc. One minute my mood's pretty good, next minute, I might be suicidal. After doing some searches, I find myself suffering from some symptoms of schizophrenia, but I don't know. My question is this: according to everyone, I always hear how I have an amazing musical gift. I have perfect pitch (hear notes and know what they are instantly without reference), taught myself piano in 3 weeks when I was 11 and can play several instruments, can produce and everything. I'm not the greatest at most things, but when it comes to music, I can do it easily and the only thing I know how to express myself in. My question: could a possible mental illness attribute to any musical gift in someone? Have there been any studies to show a connection?
